Sarrettus stood, a little dazed, very shocked, but still smiling.

"You may claim the Aggroprime," Wrentorn said. Sarrettus proceeded to Thalleous, who took out the Song. Slowly, with a curious glint in his eye, Thalleous placed the cube in Sarrettus' hand.

Thalleous and Criordian were talking during their meal.

"You ought to get your blade enchanted," Criordian proposed. "It's seen enough combat to deserve it."

Thalleous shook his head. "It would be too long a visit."

Criordian protested. "There is an enchanter near here. You can make the visit in a day."

Thallous thought about the enchanter, and looked at his sword. "Very well." he stood up, and grabbed an Aggroquake song off a nearby shelf. "I'll grab my gold, and see if Wrentorn will let me leave."

Thalleous looked around, andwent to seek approval for his trip.

Pythus grimaced. "Father, we are-"
"Failing in this war," Cronos finished. "My citizens are dying, and for what?"

The Prince of the Nether looked up. "If we are to just fight longer, train our soldiers better, and stop that idiot Vulcannus from-"
"Your brother has seen us many of our victories."
Pythus bowed his head. "Yes, lord."

Cronos sighed. "Leave me."

Pythus turned, and just as he walked away, Cronos called after him.

"Our time in the Overworld may be very short."

Thalleous walked to the village of the enchanter, and saw the shack he had been told housed the wizard. Then, he noticed a forge, anvil and all. A Sendaris Ardoni manned it, banging a hammer against a sword. The markings of this Sendaris mirrored his own.

"Galleous?" Thalleous yelled.

The forgemaster looked up. "Thalleous..." he grimaced.

The Lieutenant nodded.

"You're here. Why?"

"Getting my sword enchanted," Thalleous said curtly.

"I would have thought that the AggroPrime was a good enough weapon, even with the Deathsinger taking the others."

Thalleous blinked. "You know why the war started?"

Galleous gave Thalleous a hard stare. "I keep my ears open. I'm not stupid."
"I-" Galleous didn't let Thalleous finish his sentence.

"Just because I don't use songs doesn't mean I'm an fool, despite when you said otherwise!"

"You gave up what gives you strength!" Thalleous tensed.

"You don't understand, brother!" Galleous yelled, throwing his hammer to the ground. "Some day, you'll pay for your addiction to those crystals! You know full well our brothers did!"

"Don't speak of them to me!"

"Why? Do your siblings not matter to you, or are they less important than the songs?"

"It's our birthright to harness them!"
"At what cost to the Ardoni?!" Galleous slammed his fist on a nearby table, taking a few steps forward.

"To deny their usage is to deny the very thing that makes us Ardoni!" In rage, Thalleous triggered his Aggroquake instinctively, knocking Galleous to the ground. Quickly realizing his wrongdoing, he ran off before he would have to confront his mistake.

Author's Note:

Hello, all. Apologies for slower publication. I find myself taking a bit more time on average for each chapter.

There are three chapters left in part 3. I hope you enjoy the ending, as I'm having fun writing it.

Godspeed,
