Brooklyn Davis

"I'm returning your keys. Also nice car," he says, throwing my keys at me. I ketch them with one hand and walk over to him. "How did you get in here?" I ask, sitting down at the counter. "Garage door was unlocked and so was the garage," he said, coming around the seat next to me at the counter.I feel my hands shaking and checked to see how bad it is. Let's just say it's unnerving so I stuff them beneath my legs. "What's bothering you?" he asked with a soft tone. "It's nothing," I say standing up and walking over to the front door. "Okay, it's time to leave,"
"I just got here," he says, smirking at me from the kitchen. "Do you need anything else from me?" I ask, holding the door open. "No. However, I'm still not leaving," he says walking into the living room. Ugh, what is with this guy? I follow him to find him sitting on the couch shuffling through the channels.
I go to stand in front of the TV so he has to look at me and can't ignore me. I cross my arms and wait for him to say something. "Yes?" he asked like I was the one in his house. "If you don't need to be here anymore then why are you?" I asked not moving from where I was standing. "Because why not?" he says with a challenging expression on his face.
A question cancels out a question.
"Umm because I don't want you in my house, and if my mother comes home to find you here she will flip out," "Oh please relax, she won't know I was ever here. Besides, how am I supposed to get home? Liam already left," he says, crossing his legs getting comfortable. "I'll take you home, just get out of my damn house. I have had to deal with enough today," I say, trying to keep my temper in check. Having control of your emotions shows power.
"Thanks for the offer but I'm good here. Now will you please move out of the way?" he says gesturing to the TV hanging on the wall behind me. "Make me," I say, challenging him. He raises his brow with a questioning look.
Once he realizes I'm not going to move, he gets up and walks over to me, and with one quick movement, he picks me up bridal style with ease. "Hey what the hell! Put me down!" I exclaimed, trying to get out of his grasp. "The more you struggle the longer I will hold you," he says whispering in my ear, sending shivers through my body.
I stop moving, shocked by how he is acting. He just keeps surprising me today. Then after a moment he walks me over to the couch and sets me down on the ground. "Sit," he says pointing to the seat behind me. His expression is hard and his eyes are swirling with emotions.
His sudden change in mood has me stunted. I don't know how to process any of this and it's starting to bring back my headache. It was bearable at first, but all of these questions, it's making it worse. I don't think I have a concussion. I would be way worse if I did.
I sat down as he said and he just sat down next to me so there is at least two feet of space between us. He picked up the remote on the couch and kept flipping through the channels. I don't take my eyes off him for a while. He seems to notice me staring when he turns his head to face me.
