It was Valentines' Day, her favorite holiday - not because she got gifts or flowers but because it was the day of love. She loved to see the kindness and love the day brought. She smiled as she walked out of her house. Everyone was smiling, laughing and having fun.
To her right, some kids were playing soccer. The kids laughed at how the game was being played. To her left, a happy couple sat together. They were eating lunch and smiling at one another.
In front of her, she could see big light up letters spelling out "Marry Me?". Her heart was warmed by all of this. Out of nowhere, she could hear her name being called. She looked around and spotted her girlfriend. The two had been together for a while now.
They loved each other more than anything in the world. She smiled and walked toward her lover. Once she got to the other woman, their hands slipped together.
Her girlfriend pulled her over to the big light-up sign. She noticed rose petals all over the ground. Once the two were standing in front of the lights, they smiled at each other.
"We've known each other for what feels like forever. It's only been two years but I ve you more than anything. I heard a quote once and I've stuck with it. It's 'don't ,marry the one you can live with, marry the one you can't live without.' And I think you are the one I can't live without, so,"
The woman got down on one knee and at this point, the couple was crying. "Will- will you marry me?" She is speechless for a moment and just nods. "Yes. Yes, of course," Her girlfriend stands up and slides a ring on her finger. "I love you,too," she says and the two kiss.
Once they pull away, she looks at the ring. It was a gold wishbone ring. The detail on the ring was beautiful. The diamond inside was pink. She smiled. "It's perfect,' she says. "Just like you,"
