Sang slumped over Gabriel's shoulder as he darted around trees, before finally finding a spot he deemed satisfactory. Gently pulling her from his shoulder, he set her on her feet, and she stumbled as all the extra blood in her head rushed back south.
"You know, you're not very good at being stealthy Trouble." Gabriel said as he steadied her once she regained her footing. She could tell he wasn't actually as disappointed as his tone suggested by the large smile curving his lips. But she still slapped a hand over her mouth to fight her giggles as they peeked around the trunk.
Fighting a gasp as she saw Luke heading straight for them, she looked back at Gabriel and pointed in the direction he was coming from. Nodding, Gabriel took her hand and they quietly slipped behind another tree, keeping their footfalls as light as they could.
"I can hear you!" Luke sang, and her eyes widened at how close his voice was. But where were the other two?
As she opened her mouth to ask Gabriel if he had seen them, he pressed a finger to his lips as he crept around the other side of the trunk. Bending down whilst he was busy, Sang started making snowballs, just in case they were discovered. Then at least they would have a chance at defending themselves.
"Gotcha!" Squealing as a pair of hands covered her eyes from behind, Sang chucked the handful of snow she was holding into their face instinctively. Giggling as Nathan fell backwards, effectively releasing her – she jumped to her feet and took off in a random direction, abandoning Gabriel in her quest to get away.
Grabbing a pile of snow as she darted around trees, she packed it into a tight snowball as she kept her eyes peeled for any of the others. Snickering as she stopped behind a tree at the edge of the open field near the house, she peeked around the corner.
Seeing no-one, she focused on listening out for their footfalls as she started building her arsenal. Giggling with each new snowball she made, she started humming the jaws theme tune as she worked.
"Where are you Peanut?" Nathan called out and she froze. "Come out, come out, wherever you are!" Pressing a hand against her mouth as he appeared between two tree's, Sang held her breath as he continued moving closer to her hiding spot.
"You can't hide forever!" He shouted, an excited gleam making his eyes almost glow. She knew she only had one chance to get him good, but she had terrible aim so she waited for him to get close enough that she couldn't miss – even if she tried to.
Once he was a few feet away, she quietly dropped to her haunches as started filling her arm full of her perfectly – imperfect snow missiles.
"I can hear you." He called out, looking straight at the tree to her left. Shaking her head at the smugness radiating from him, she took her first snowball and launched it at him. Laughing at it pelted him in the face, she quickly threw her next one before he had the chance to recover.
"PEANUT!" He shouted as another one hit him, and he spluttered as some of it got in his mouth. Unable to hold it in any longer, she burst out laughing as she ran for the open field.
She could hear his pursuit, and she pushed herself harder – almost shrieking when North stepped out in front of her. Without thinking, she launched her next missile at him, and watched in amazement as it smacked him right in the chest.
Whooping, she jumped in the air and side-stepped the scowling giant just as he reached for her.
"Baby!" He growled when he missed. Winking, she saluted him and carried on running towards the house – knowing they wouldn't be able to get her once she was inside.
Peeking over her shoulder, she almost gasped when she saw Nathan and North behind her – their longer legs easily eating up the distance between them. Cursing her short-self, she turned back around just as she smacked in a hard chest – crushing her remaining snowballs between them.
