Sang had never been so scared in her life, but thoughts of her guys kept her from falling into a dark spiral. She needed to get out of here, before the guys walked into a trap.
But first, Sang needed to find a way of her bindings. Shifting, she hissed as the rope around her right hand pulled, making pain arch up her arm.
Barely stifling a cry, she looked down and whimpered at the sight of her fingers. Two were bent at an awkward angle and were already turning a dark purple. It was clear they were broken.
Spots danced in front of her eyes and she panted for breath, a tight feeling squeezing her chest. They broke her fingers. Actually broke them.
What would they do if they found her trying to escape?
Don't think about that right now Sang, you need to get out of here.
A whimper caught in her throat.
"Come on, you can do this. Be brave for once in your life Sang." She muttered to herself, closing her eyes. Inhaling a deep breath, she pushed past the sharp pain and spiralling panic and twisted her wrists, trying to loosen the ties.
The guys need you!
Tears dripped from her eyes as agony flared hot and bright, but she gritted her teeth as she wiggled. The chair rocked, and she gasped, freezing.
Come on Sang, don't give up yet!
Twisting, and pulling, she ignored the ropes digging into her skin, biting her bottom lip. A cry tore free when one of the ropes loosened just enough for her to yank her hand free.
YES!
Darting a frantic look around, Sang tugged at the rope securing her other hand, her fingers tingling as the blood rushed back, making her hand tingle. Her breaths escaped her in pants.
It felt like someone was watching her, but she knew it was just her fear of being caught that caused that.
Agony rocked up her arm as she finally freed her other wrist, and she cradled her hand against her chest as she whimpered through the flare of pain. Her hand throbbed, and her head ached as a thumping migraine began to form behind her eyes. But thoughts of what would happen to the guys when they walked into the trap Greg had laid out filled her mind, and she pushed past everything, knowing she could fall apart later.
But first she needed to escape and find the guys.
Reaching down, she kept her bad hand against her chest and worked at loosening the ropes around her legs. Time seemed to slip through her fingers at an accelerated rate as she struggled with the ties. Sweat made her fingers slippery, and tears spilled down her cheeks as she struggled and failed to loosen the ropes around her ankles.
Forcing herself to take a deep breath, she slowed her frantic movements and wiggled her feet. "Just breathe, you can do this."
After a few more tries, she finally managed to free one of her legs and moved to the other. She kept throwing panicked glances over her shoulder, just waiting for one of the thugs or Greg to appear and catch her trying to escape. But it seemed luck was on her side for once as she stumbled to her feet.
Dizziness made her sway for a moment, and she shook her head as darkness encroached on the edges of her vision.
Don't fall apart now, you're almost there!
Stumbling forward, she rushed towards the curtain at the back of the room, desperately looking for some kind of weapon to defend herself with. But only bags of drugs greeted her. A noise echoed just outside of the room, and she quickly pulled the curtain closed, holding her breath as footsteps sounded just beyond her hiding place.
