Hi guys, thank you for sticking with me in this slow journey of Empowered!

I am going to end this now because I realised that the reason I was extra slow writing this is because I have nothing else to write for this story. Instead of dragging it out, I will end this now.

I know a lot of you were expecting Nafeesa/Ashar and Sabeen/Shadab moments, and maybe I might add bonus chapters one day for them. Maybe. But it's the perfect time to end this story now, and I really don't want to continue writing when I myself feel that it's the right time to end it.

You guys have been amazing, as always. Thank you for your patience throughout the story, especially in the last few chapters.

Nayab

Ever since we found out about the gender of our beautiful baby, my sister and sisters-in-law had been going crazy buying baby boy stuff for us.

Ammi and Hadiqa Aunty had been making a list of items required for our baby boy.

And my father-in-law, much to my surprise, was building a cot himself, having brilliant skills in carpentry.

I was happy, Alhumdulillah. Our lives were finally free from the politics. Yet there was also a dull ache when I saw a touch of sorrow in Hamdan's eyes, especially when his family was all gathered together. He felt the absence of his mother, Samreen Gillani. And it wasn't only him, but his sisters also felt her absence.

"They'll never agree." Sabeen looked worried, playing with her bracelet.

"Don't worry." Seerat Appi reassured her.

"After all the drama, they will never agree." My younger sister-in-law was pacing her bedroom nervously.

"I mean, in a way, their son was also involved in the drama." Appi pointed out. "He refused as well. So, I'm sure they'll come around. Besides, Dado, Papa and Hadiqa Aunty can handle things maturely."

It was the big day for Sabeen. Shadab and his family were visiting my father-in-law's house to discuss the marriage alliance.

"I don't even know how Shadab convinced them to even come." Sabeen started chewing on her fingernail, and Seerat Appi slapped her hand lightly to make her stop doing that.

I was sitting in the chair nearby, smiling in amusement. "I'm sorry, Sabeen, but it is funny. The way you both blatantly, but nicely, rejected each other, and now you both want to marry each other. It's adorable, Ma Sha Allah."

"Nothing funny or adorable for me, Bhabi! I'm terrified!" Sabeen's wide-eyed gaze turned to me.

I stood up and walked up to her, placing a hand on her shoulder. "You've always been such a sweetheart, Sabeen, and Allah would always do what's the best for you, In Sha Allah. Don't worry, and leave things to our elders. They are sensible and wise. They will handle it."

"Speaking of wise elders, I should go downstairs as well." Appi grinned. "I'm the eldest sibling, and I should be right there during the discussions. Nayab, are you coming?" She looked at me.
