Y/N'S POV

It was the morning of a normal day, or so i thought. I was going for a morning swim when I heard the sounds of a conch shell signalling an arrival. Who was arriving today? Did I miss something?

I took my head out of the water and saw loads of people crowding around a family with creatures behind them. This wasn't a normal metkayina family. They weren't metkayina.

I dove back into the water to swim over to have a closer look at the strange family. When I was close to shore I got out of the water and started walking over to tsireya and ao'ung.

While I was walking over I felt a pair of eyes on me. I looked around and saw a boy from the family examining me. I assumed he was the younger brother as he had what looked like an older boy standing next to him. I smiled at him when I reached tsireya and ao'ung and he awoke from his daydream.

Lo'ak's POV

Woah. That girl is so beautiful. Maybe it won't be so bad here after all. I saw the boys next to her giggling. Definitely judging us. I mean I could say a lot about you asshole. There was also another girl next to her but I wasn't focused on that one.

"Hey." I said to the girl. So cool bro, so cool. She looked at me and smiled softly. Huh. Maybe it did work.

Y/N'S POV

Hey? Smoooooothhh. I let out a smile while I was trying not to laugh. He's actually kind of cute. Anyways. I heard ao'ung and his idiot friends snickering to each other next to me. I hit ao'ung's arm 'gently' to shut him up.

"Why have you come Jake Sully?" My dad asked the older male, I'm guessing the dad.

I must've missed something at the start as I didn't know anyone's names yet but my dad somehow did.

"We seek sanctuary." Jake Sully said while spreading out his arms to his family.

"Sanctuary?" Mum said in disbelief then she looked at dad and started walking around the family looking them up and down. Very welcoming mum!

"We are reef people, you are forest people. Your skills will mean nothing here." Dad said after seeing how mum definitely didn't want them staying here.

"Well we will learn your ways, right?" Jake Sully said looking around at his family getting them to nod.

"Their arms are thin." Mum explained to everyone while grabbing the little sister's arm.

"Mum!" the little girl said squeezing closer to Jake's mate.

"Their tails..." Mum continued.

She grabbed the teenage girl's tail. The girl pulled her tail away from mum with an angry look on her face.

"...are weak. They will be slow in the water."  Mum kept explaining her point. I was very embarrassed at this point. Mum can never accept anything. She's just trying to protect us but she needs to see other people's perspectives sometimes.

She grabbed the teenage girl's hands, "These children, are not even true na'vi!" She said while holding the girl's hands up for everyone to see. "They have demon blood!" She declared.

I felt bad for them. Jake is just trying to protect his family.

Conversation and whisper scattered around and then Jake's mate (Neytiri - tsireya told me there names, thank you sister) interrupted saying, "My husband was Toruk Makto. He led the clans to victory, against the sky people!" Jake looked embarrassed at the title but Neytiri's words seemed to have an effect on mum and dad.

"Toruk Makto is a Great War leader. All na'vi people know his story." Dad said to the whole village. Pleaseeeee let them stay, they seem nice. "But.." That can't be good. "We metkayina are not at war. We cannot let you bring your war here." I mean he does have a point.

The little sister, Tuk climbed into Jake's arms and he picked her up.

"I have done my war. Okay? I just... I just want to keep my family safe." Jake explained. I could feel his fear of not being able to protect his family, he would do anything for them.

"Shh. It'll be okay." Jake comforted Tuk.

Dad turned to mum and they communicated without even talking.

"Toruk Makto and his family will stay with us."  Dad declared. "Treat them as our brothers and sisters. But they do not know the sea. So they will be like babies, taking their first breath. Teach them our ways so they do not suffer the shame of being useless."

This probably means that i will be busy teaching these guys for ages. I mean I had nothing else to do.

"Tuk what do we say?" Jake said to Tuk. "Thank you." Tuk said in a cute voice looking up at mum and dad, they smiled. Jake looked at the other family members signalling them to 'be grateful'. 'Thank you's' came from the rest after one another.

"My son Ao'ung and daughters Tsireya and Y/N will teach you." Dad said point over to us.

"Father, why-" Ao'ung started to complain when dad gave him the look.

The younger son, Lo'ak was now looking at me again. I looked him, then looked away, then looked back, then looked awa-

"Come on. I will show you our village." Tsireya exclaimed. Our gaze looked over to her. Thank great mother. I didn't know what to do. I didn't know what to feel. I...don't have time to think about this now.

I grabbed some of their things are started to follow tsireya to where they were staying.

Lo'ak's POV

We followed the two sisters to where we're going to stay. I looked around while we were walking and their village is so different but so beautiful and colourful. Almost as beautiful as her. We got to the place and we walked in and placed down our bags. Well mum dropped hers roughly. I don't think she is very pleased we are here. I smiled at the sister as she walked past me. I felt something in my heart break while she was walking away. I didn't even know her name yet!

I looked to my side and saw Neteyam smirking at me.

"What?!" I said, even though I knew what he was doing.

"Nothing.." he said. Sure bro.

Y/N'S POV

While I walked past Lo'ak he smiled at me. I smiled back and looked at the ground. While we were walking back to mum and dad I heard Tsireya giggling beside me.

"What?" I said.

"Nothing..just you and Lo'ak!" She said while smiling.

"Sister! We literally just met them!" I exclaimed.

We both started laughing and then just to tease her I said "What about you and the older brother? Neteyam?"

"He's kind of cute..." She replied while looking down.

My eyes widened. Not the answer I was expecting.
