Y/N'S POV
I went to find Lo'ak to ask him if he wanted to have another lesson on breathing in the water. I walked over to the place they were staying in. I was about to turn into the home and then heard Neteyam and Lo'ak talking. I don't know why but i decided to wait a sec to listen. It might be funny! Don't judge me!
"Just admit it. You like her!" Neteyam exclaimed.
"What?! Bro, we literally just got here!" Lo'ak replied.
"I see the way you look at her.." Neteyam teased.
"Bro-" I decided to walk in and cut off Lo'ak before I heard anymore. Although all I could think about now was who were they talking about. Could it be me? Actually it was probably Tsireya. She's way prettier then me and wayyyyy more girlfriend material.
"Umm hi. I thought we could have another lesson about breathing, Lo'ak." I said when I walked into the room. They just stood there and stared at me, eyes wide open. Before Lo'ak said..
"Um yeah, sure." While clearing his throat. We started walking to the shore before diving into the water. I checked behind me to see if Lo'ak was near me in the water. We taught them a bit of our underwater 'finger talk' as Neteyam would call it. So I signed, "I will take you to a calm place." "Okay." He replied back.
After we got to the spot, we sat on a rock island and practiced our breathing. My hand was on his chest again. I swear I was shaking. Although, thankfully, the breathing was calming me a bit. His skin is so smooth and I feel so comfortable with him. But if he was talking about Tsireya, I shouldn't be thinking this.
"The way of water has no beginning and no end." I recited. "The sea is around you and in you." "The sea is your home, before your birth..and after your death." "Our hearts beat in the womb of the world."
I looked at Lo'ak and saw him already looking at me. He met my eyes then we both looked away. I continued.
"Our breath burns in the shadows of the deep. The sea gives..and the sea takes. Water connects all things. Life to death. Darkness to light."

Lo'ak's POV
Her words felt comforting. Her voice sounded like it was gifted by an angel. I don't know how to describe it but when I'm with her I feel safe. I don't feel like I need to be perfect. Although I still want to prove my self to her.
After we practiced my breathing, she grabbed a shell from the rock island we were on. She instructed me on what she wanted me to do. I nodded but i wasn't really paying attention. I was focusing on every detail on her face. It's all perfect. Her skin is smooth, her stripes are symmetrical, her eyes are sparkling, her lips look soft, her nose is-
"Lo'ak?" She said interrupting my train of thoughts. I looked down and saw her already in the water.
"Sorry." She laughed quietly. I slid into the water and calmed myself ready to collect the shell from the water.
After a few seconds, Y/N through the shell into the water. I took a deep breath and dove in, controlling my breathing. Just like she told me to.

Y/N'S POV
I poked my head into the water so I could see Lo'ak. He was swimming perfectly and grabbed the shell when he got close enough to it. He looked up at me and then started to swim back up to the surface.
