Lo'ak's POV

After the fight dad dragged me and Neteyam back to the place where we were staying. I can't believe they thought they could talk to Kiri like that. Assholes.

"What was the one thing I asked? The one thing!" Dad exclaimed. I could feel dad's disappointment staring me down. It wasn't anything new.

"Stay out of tro-" I tried to answer when dad cut me off by repeating what I was trying to say, "Stay out of trouble. Right."

"It was my fault." Neteyam said, trying to take the blame. Neteyam knows that dad thinks I'm a disappointment. He tries to help me out but he will never know what it's like. He is the perfect son. Dad will definitely not let him take the blame.

"I don't think so, you've gotta stop taking the heat for this knucklehead." Dad said. Just as I said. I had to explain my self, I have an excuse! They we're picking on Kiri!

"Dad, Ao'ung was picking on Kiri. He called her a freak." I explained. His facial expression changed but I could still see his disappointment. "Go apologise to Ao'ung." He demanded. "What?" I replied. Apologise? He should be the one apologising! He literally called Kiri a freak! I was just protecting her.

"He's the chief's son. Don't you understand? I don't care how you do it, just go make peace. Just go." Dad said. I didn't even try fighting it, he would just shout at me more.

Y/N'S POV

I haven't seen Lo'ak since the fight. I'm kinda starting to worry. I'm sure he's fine. Just to make sure, I went to ask Neteyam if he knew where Lo'ak was.

"Oh hey Y/N. Are you ok?" Neteyam said when I walked up to him. He was sitting on the edge of the decking with his legs dangling to the water.

"Umm yeah I am but have you seen Lo'ak since the fight. It's getting kind of late and it might be dangerous if he is in the water by himself." I said while sitting down beside him.

"The last time I saw him was when he was leaving to go make peace with Ao'ung and those guys." He replied. Oh no. I already know that Ao'ung has probably done something.

"Where is Ao'ung now?" I said sharply.

"Umm. I don't know. Maybe still in the water with- wait you don't think." He said realising what I was thinking.

"Ao'ung!" I shouted while getting up and walking towards our house. Neteyam got up and followed me. I walked in and saw Ao'ung sitting there with his friends laughing. No sign of Lo'ak. Idiot!

"Ao'ung!" His head turned round quickly and he stopped laughing. "What did you guys do to Lo'ak?!"

"Lo'ak. Um w-we weren't with Lo'ak." He was clearly lying. He always stutters when he lies. I hissed at him. Indicating that I knew he was with him.

"We left him outside the reef..." He said quietly.

"What?!" Me and Neteyam both exclaimed. "You skxawng!" I said. "Something might happen to him asshole!" Neteyam said after. Ao'ung and his friends all looked down, no smiles on their faces now.

"We are going to Dad. And Jake." I said while grabbing Ao'ung's arm. I turned to Neteyam and said, "Neteyam, take him to Jake. I will inform my dad." "Okay." He replied. He took Ao'ung and headed to the hut they were staying in. When I told dad he obtained a stern look and started calling out to the villagers to send them searching. It was pretty dark now so we wanted to hurry. Even though the way of water is beautiful, it does have some dangerous creatures. Ones that Lo'ak probably can't handle. Why am I so worried anyways? That doesn't matter now. We just need to find him.
