wednesday would've never chosen to spend her free time in a gift shop at disney, but thanks to a bit of persuasion, and a lot of begging from enid and eugene, here she was. though, as much as she hated to admit it to herself, it wasn't all that bad.

she enjoyed watching amusedly as her girlfriend ran around the store, looking for the perfect mickey ears for her and eugene.

the ravenette caught a glimpse of a pair of ears that were bee themed, she picked up the headband and went to find eugene, who was standing by enid, trying to help the girl decide between two pairs of ears. she tapped his shoulder gently, showing him the ears once he turned around to look at her.

"i thought you might like these," she says plainly, handing the ears to the young boy.

his face brightened immediately, lighting up with a smile.

"wednesday, these are so cool!!" he squeals excitedly, showing enid what the girl had given him.

"oh, wednesday, those are so cute!! where'd you find them? eugene, you have to get them!!" the blonde exclaims.

"i found them by the weird yellow bear." she replies, catching notice of the ears the younger girl was holding.

  they were black.

  enid would never wear black.

those ears are for her.

oh. she wasn't shopping for just her and eugene, she was shopping for all three of them.

she looks at the blonde wearily, "enid... what are you doing with those?"

"oh! these are for you!!" she says, smiling as she hands the girl the pair of ears.

"i am not wearing these." wednesday says firmly in reply.

"sure you are! just like this!" the blonde says smugly, placing the all-black mickey ears on the shorter girl's head.

just as wednesday went to remove the ears she heard eugene call, "oh, come on wednesday!! don't be a party pooper!!" frowning slightly.

wednesday looks between her girlfriend and eugene's sad faces, she sighs knowing how much these stupid animal ears mean to them, and places them back on top of her head.

enid and eugene exchange a high five, feeling proud of themselves.

"did you find any for you?" wenesday inquires, referring to the girl standing before her.

"oh! no! be right back!!" is the last thing wednesday hears before the blonde scurries off to find herself a pair.

the boy looks at her knowingly as she stares at the retreating lycan, "you love her, don't you."

wednesday knows she's been caught red-handed so she just nods in response.

  "you should tell her."

  "i know."

a few minutes later, enid came running up with the ears she had chosen. it was a pair of pink and blue ears with the aristocats on them.

"got them!!" enid smiled happily, dragging the two with her as she went to pay for all of their ears.

"i could've paid for myself, enid."

"i know! just let me spoil you today, please?" the girl whines.

  "why?"

"because i know how much you really didn't want to come with us, and yet you're still here; consider it my thanks to you! thanks, by the way." the taller girl explains, tacking on the thank you at the end.

"yeah thanks wednesday! this is really cool of you!" eugene smiles happily, tugging on wednesday's sleeve.

the pigtail haired girl looks down at him and then at enid, silently telling him to thank her too.

  "oh! thank you too, enid!"

"of course bud." she replies, ruffling his hair as she eats the cotton candy she had gotten at a stall outside of the gift shop.

wednesday smiles just the slightest watching enid interact with eugene, she found it sickeningly adorable.

"oh my god!! can we go on the ferris wheel?!" please!!!" enid begs.

wednesday nods in response before starting her walk over towards the ride, the boy still clinging onto her sleeve.

they had bought fast passes, not wanting to stand in line all day seeing as they only had two days here before having to return back to nevermore, which meant they got to skip all the lines. wednesday glared at everyone in line who was giving them dirty looks as they cut to the front of the line, making them cower in fear.

"can i go in my own cart, please guys!!" the bee-obsessed boy begs.

wednesday shuts him down quickly, insisting he goes with them, causing him to pout and mutter something about third-wheeling.

they enter the rickety cart, enid and wednesday sitting down on one bench while eugene sits opposite them, staring out the window look down at everything in amazement.

wednesday rests her head on enid's shoulder, sighing contently as she closes her eyes.

enid places a soft kiss on the girl's head, wrapping an arm around the girl, glad she had begun feeling comfortable with more physical touch.

"i love you." the blonde whispers.

"i know." the short girl replies, those being the only words she's able to form.
