"Here's your bed!"

"Oh goodie!" You cheer sarcastically, closing in on the stuff looking bunk beds "which one's mine?"

"I sleep on the bottom"

"Are you.." you pause wondering if this question is gonna get you knocked in the floor "girl are you afraid of heights?"

"Are you afraid of this fist up your ass?"

Mortified, you take a step back and it's almost like her smile grows sharper "Okay I'm just gonna take that as a yes and unpack" you hold your response in front of her like it's a peace offering and it seems to appease her for the moment

"Just call me if you need anything roomie!" She salutes you, walking out the door backwards, her eyes never leaving yours.

You weren't gonna call her for shit.

"She's always like that? Like always?" You turn to Kobeni, watching her huddle up in the corner of her own bunk, head stuck in a book. She seemed far too shaken to actually be reading through it.

"Always" the dark haired girl shudders "if you ask me, you made a mistake coming here"

Well you didn't exactly have a choice.

"Why'd you come here?" You ask, throwing your bag into one of the drawers, hardly bothering with the whole unpacking thing. You didn't trust this place enough to lay all your stuff in the drawer for anyone to see.

"To be honest" she moves a bit, towards the edge of her bed and out of the shadows "I had nowhere else to go" she looks at you but not directly, peering at the side of your face instead of looking you in the eyes, she seemed naturally nervous "I kinda felt like my life is ou—"

In comes Power, barreling through the door so hard she rolled at least twice before scrambling back to her feet "Fight I'm the courtyard!" She announced too loudly, breathing hard

"W-who?!" Kobeni scrambled right back into her corner

"Glasses kid and the girl we had to confiscate that shank from!" Her head immediately swivels and she's looking directly at yours, her tongue pinched between her teeth "You ready for your first adventure Y/N?!" Something about her eyes were rabid, charged with adrenaline as faint screams haze the distant air

"Gah dayumm! I just got here!" You stretch, hands above your head like that'll work out all the fatigue "who's winning though?" You can't help but be mosey

"The girl! But for real, we gotta go!"

You give Kobeni a look, both of you considering. You can just feel the energy charging the room and you know it's about to be trouble.

"Alright let's go" with a sigh, you grab your jacket off the side of the dresser knowing you weren't gonna be using for yourself.

Power was practically bouncing down the dirt path, her sneakers making her running look so airy and light. Kobe I shuffled quickly behind the two of you, wielding a flashlight even with the sun still sorta out she insisted that it went down fast.

"Oooouu shit" your eyes widen at the sight of the fight "you didn't tell me they were trying kill each other" you huff, undoing the tie that kept your bracelet together with your teeth—leaving it in the dirt a little ways from the commotion
