THE BARLOWE VAMPIRE COULDN'T DENY IT; SHE WAS EXCITED FOR TO SEE KLAUS WHEN HE CAME TO BREAK HIS CURSE. But she didn't know if he felt the same way. At the same time, she knew deep down that he did feel the same way; yet she couldn't just bring that thought to the surface. The brunette laid in her hotel bed, her phone in hand debating if she should call him. She knew it wasn't a good idea, but she wanted to talk to him. Only if it were for five minutes, it was better than not speaking to him at all. When Elena brought up that she and him had almost been married in the past, it brought up some emotions. The main one was regret. Regret that she'd walked out on him in the end. Regret that she couldn't talk through what was bothering her with him. She knew she shouldn't feel these emotions because he was the one who betrayed her, not the other way around. She missed her British accent, as well. Surprisingly, she'd lost it due to her being away from her own culture for so long.

1924

Arayia sat in a booth of a jazz club, Klaus to the left of her and Rebekah to her right. Klaus' hand was rested on her thigh as they listened to the music, soaking in the rhythm and the beautiful voice of the singer. Abruptly, Klaus pushed up to his feet as the song came to a near end. Arayia looked at him with furrowed eyebrows. "Where are you going, my love?"

He motioned towards his empty glass, not even looking at his fiancée. "To get more whiskey," he then looked to his sister, then Arayia. "Do either of you need anything?"

Both of the women shook their head as a no. He nodded, then made his way to the bar. Arayia watched him from afar, and when he was done at the bar, he didn't return. He moved to converse with the singer, as she was taking a break from the singing, giving her vocal tunes a ten minute break. And as the people waited for her to return, instruments were played. Her eyebrows furrowed as she saw the singer place a hand on Klaus' upper arm and throw her head back in laugher.

She looked to Rebekah, and noted that her best friend was also watching the interaction, and she too looked confused. "Is he flirting with her?"

"I believe so." Rebekah nodded, pursing her lips together. She looked at Arayia with sympathy. "Are you okay, love?"

Tears brewed in her eyes as she looked down to the table. "I'm going to kill that wench."

And she followed through with her words. When the night came to an end, she found the young singer heading down an alleyway to her car. Slowly, she followed the girl. She convinced Rebekah to distract Klaus and take him home. He was drunk enough to oblige. Arayia sped up to the girl as she was about to open her car door.

She roughly grabbed onto the back of her head and slammed it against the glass, causing the glass to crack and the door to slam shut. She brought her head right next to the girls ear. "That man, the one you were flirting with tonight? You made a grave mistake for that, honey." she turned the girl to face her, where she noticed she now had a wound on her forehead from the impact of her smashing her head into the glass. "What's your name?"
