Today was Kelly's 18th Birthday. I made sure to send her my little cute birthday message at 12 on the dot. Yes I'm one of those people.
Frank was supposed to be taking her out for the day, and tonight her family is taking her out to dinner. Even though we are going to this surprise that Frank is having, Robyn and I still decided to do a little something for her tomorrow. Just for us. That's when we'll give her the gifts.
So, currently I was putting out everything I'll need to do her hair. It's just a simple curly hair-do. She plans to wear it down, so it's pretty simple for me. Robyn was doing Kelly's makeup.
I was like the hairstylist in the group while Robyn was the makeup artist. Every outing, we'd make sure to get ready at either one of our homes. Kelly would put the outfits together if we were indecisive. It'll go as far as Kelly making us an outfit.
"Hey hey Ming let in." Robyn said walking in my room. She had all her makeup equipment with her and went to her side of the room to set up.
My parents have high earning jobs so the house we live in is pretty big and secluded. I personally turned one of the guest bedrooms to a room where we can basically get ready. We have others that could be used if we do have anybody over.
"When is Kelly supposed to get here?"
"She told me 10:30 but that was 15 minutes ago. Let me try and call her." It's not like Kelly to be late to anything. Especially since she was so prominent on us being up early enough.
I put the phone on speaker while waiting for her to answer. Which turned out to be the very last ring.
"Hello." She sniffled.
"Uh ah What's wrong Kellz?" Robyn walked over to where I was standing.
"Everything is ruined." She sobbed. Robyn and I looked at eachother sympathetically. It was most likely her family, like any other year.
"Can you explain to us?" I asked. She went on to say how she found out Frank was cheating on her.
"Cheating on you..."
"Y'all will never guess who either." She proceeds to say while chuckling. I started to make a possible list in my head.
"Nyla?" I questioned.
"She is always saying how bad she wants him." Robyn added on.
