It was the end of the school day and I raced outside the double doors to beat her to her car. I know she usually waits for Kelly and Robyn after class, then goes to her locker.

So that gives me enough time to rush to my car and wait for her at hers. By my luck, we didn't park too far from each other.

I grabbed the balloons and few gift bags out of my backseat. Besides me grabbing something for Onika, I grabbed something for Robyn and Kelly as well.

They were doing this galentines exchange and they've asked me to participate.

Before I decided to pursue onika, I had no idea I'll end up liking her friends as much as I do. They are some of the most realist and genuine people I've met. I like them more than my friends.

I still hang around Brandy and Frank but it's kind of weird now. Somehow Kelly always ends up the topic of discussion with Frank and it makes me feel weird.

He also doesn't like the fact I'm always hanging out with Kelly now. In my opinion, I feel like I shouldn't have to stop hanging around or getting to know her because you screwed up with her.

I saw a few students take pictures or even stand around which spiked my anxiety. I waited for a couple more minutes before all three girls walked out of the school. Onika had gift bags and balloons in her hands as well.

It took a moment but eventually we met eyes and I was suddenly starting to sweat. She jogged over to me and embraced me in a hug. Kelly and Robyn were close behind her.

"We were looking for you after class so we can give you these.. I thought I missed you."

"I had to come out to my car to grab your gifts.. I texted you."

"I'm sorry I didn't even look at my phone. Here's your gifts." She beamed. I took the fair sized teddy bear, gifts and balloons from Onika. The bear was pink, a favorite color that we coincidentally share, and I peeked inside and saw quite a few perfumes. That alone excites me more.

"Here's yours. Be careful, there's some items made of glass in there." I carefully passed each of them their bags and balloons as they did mine, Onika having the most gifts of course. Onika began to look through the bag and her reaction let me know I did the right thing. I basically just got her exactly what she wanted. She wanted
