As the storm raged over in Ambala, all was quiet and calm in the Sea of Hoolemere.

It wasn't in The Great Ga'hoole Tree.

Every owl was tense and angry. In the parliament, many owls were shouting at each other. Allomere and Gerda, two Great Grey siblings, were the loudest, discussing Soren's prophecy.

"That's why we need this New Band here! We can teach them the skills needed to save us from the shadows!" Gerda hissed at Allomere.

"As if Glaux delivers prophecies! Soren never has precise dreams, I'll say. This is nonsense!" Allomere hissed back at his sister, both owls tense. Allomere and Gerda rarely ever got along. Nearly the only times they did was when Soren made them.

"Gerda, Allomere, please! Would you all just listen for a second?" Soren screeched. Every owl shut their beak and listened, with a wary glance from Allomere.

"Now I know this is a troubling matter, but I've received a clue in the starsight. An owl with a black face and a storm made of fire in his eyes. An elegant white owl with healing remedies and books. A small brown and amber owl fighting with swords with a green snake covered in lace. A purple owl tracing footprints left behind in the dirt. An owl with long ear tufts covered in ash shaping battle claws."

As he said the owls from his dreams, the ryb of a chaw that pertained to those things straightened up. Gerda was especially straightened up. Like the others, she had a spark in her eyes.

"Now I'm not assuming that their chaw is pertaining to those of you, but I would like to put them all in a bit of extra early training for those. Me and Gerda will take the owl with the black face. Fleemus will take the white owl. Sylvana will take the purple owl. Allomere will take the brown and amber owl. Bubo will take the owl with the long ear tufts. This is not for them to be in your chaw, but for extra training before their chaws are decided. Do I make myself clear?"

Each owl he said nodded, seeming to buzz with excitement. Soren sighed, hoping they actually understood him and what lay ahead.

But what did lay ahead?
