Adam felt a strength in his body. He felt a courage in his soul. He felt a purpose in his life.
He got out of the hospital bed and put on some clothes. He saw Lisa waiting for him at the door. She was also wearing some clothes.
She looked at him with admiration in her eyes. She spoke to him with encouragement in her voice.
"Adam...are you ready...to go?"
He nodded firmly and took her hand.
"Lisa...I'm ready...let's go."
They left the hospital and got into a car driven by Tom. He was also wearing some clothes.
He looked at them with respect in his eyes. He spoke to them with enthusiasm in his voice.
"Adam...Lisa...welcome aboard...we're going to Reading."
They nodded and smiled back.
"Tom...thanks for everything...we're glad to be here."
They drove away from London and headed towards Reading. They passed by fields, forests, towns. They saw signs of the civil war.
They saw checkpoints, barricades, patrols. They saw flags, graffiti, posters. They saw reds, blues, greens.
They avoided any trouble and reached their destination safely. They parked their car near a building marked as "Reading Socialist Party Branch".
They got out of the car and entered the building. They were greeted by some people inside.
They were their comrades from the Socialist Party (CWI). They were also wearing red T-shirts.
They looked at them with surprise in their eyes. They spoke to them with warmth in their voices.
"Adam...Lisa...Tom...you made it...you're here..."
They hugged them and welcomed them.
"Adam...Lisa...Tom...we're so happy to see you..."
They introduced them to other comrades who had gathered there for a meeting.
They were workers, students, activists, organizers. They were fighters, thinkers, leaders, followers. They were Reds.
