myung opened her eyes as her head starts aching like crazy. she had never felt like this before... looking at the unfamiliar place, she knew something was off while she's on her way to the store. she volunteered to check on daehan's birthday cake as won's mom was informed by the store of some order issues. she had no other choice but to bring along a pouting daehan as he wished to go with her. but now, her feet and hands are tied on a chair and her lips dried up. she's too thirsty that words aren't coming out from her mouth.

"d-daehan..." she mumbled.

"good morning ms. hwang! a deep sleeper, aren't we?"

a woman chuckled, entering the room.

"h-hana...? you...where's dae-?! " myung asked in disbelief.

"calm down sweetie... i know what's on your mind. so shut up and listen to me!"

myung tasted blood as a cut on her lip started to drew red stains from hana's strong slap. she chuckled, spitting out the blood as anger engulfed her whole body.

"what do you want?"

hana stooped down and smiled at her.

"everything... everything that you have.. teacher."

"i'd like to play with your little son just the other day but you're one pest so i might get rid of you first, right?"

myung's eyes dimmed as she recalled the attempt kidnapping incident.

"so it's you?! if you lay a finger on that kid-"

"i said shut up!"

myung was about to receive a slap again but managed to avoid it. hana laughed in frustration. she held her chin and forced to face her.

"won is never in love with you. i know about your arranged marriage and your little son's secret! once you and that brat are out of his life, he'll come back running into my arms."

"and therefore...a birthday party isn't needed. but you know? black suits and dresses are my type. i might be needing it soon."

hana chuckled, walking out of the room.

"disposed them before the sun rises tomorrow." she instructed the men outside with no hint of pity.

"hanaaaa!!! leave the kid out of this!"

myung shouted, hoping the woman heard her for the last time. if something happens to daehan, she'll never forgive herself.

"we'll be quick hon! i promised!

those were myung's last words and still ringing in wonwoo's ears. the supposed to be happy celebration of daehan's birthday was postponed. myung's grandma, eunji, won's parents and his friends are all gathered in the living room...hoping for a phone call to arrive. the family decided to keep the matter strictly confidential. no media involved yet. worry and fear are evident on their faces. grandma hwang and mrs. jeon started to cry as eunji comforted them, assuring them that they're fine. her best friend is a strong woman.

"won, can we talk to you for a minute?"

seokmin asked and wonwoo nodded, followed by hoshi. the three head out to the backyard.

"do you have any mind?"

seokmin held out a cigarette to him and he accepted it. back in their days in japan, lighting a cigarette for wonwoo can calm his nerves if burdens piled up and missions get too bloody.
