Here We Go Again

3rd pov

It was the next "morning" when the two decided it was time to leave as they went down the ladder and back to the empty picture frame. However, as they arrive, they notice the way they came was now being engulfed by the goo.

Y/n: "... well, we could always try wall running, but after your last experience with parkour, I don't think you're ready for that"

Rose:*elbows his side, he chuckles* "shut up, that was an accident and you know it. Beside, if we can't get around it, I just need to get rid of it."

She then points to a core on the roof, y/n looks up before looking at her with the same grin she held. She then extends her hand and turns the core to ashes as y/n then takes a step forward into the ashes, they dissappear under his feet.

Y/n:*as the ashes continues to dissappear* "looks like it's safe to go now"

Rose: "right, let's go"

She starts walking next to him until they reach the door, there they hear the groaning of a face eater and y/n puts a hand on his katana. Soon the face eater slams the door open and walks in.

Rose: "It's like I can't quite get a grip!"

She was about to get her gun out and shoot it dead until y/n ran past her and shouted:

Y/n: "I've got this!"

She becomes concerned and tries to reach out to hold him back, that is, until she saw what he could do with a sword. He somehow managed to run past the face eater and stabbed it in the neck before cutting to the side. He then kicks the face eater to the ground and stabs its head in with his katana, killing it immediately.

Rose: "...wow"

Y/n had a cold look on as he stared at the dead face eater that laid at his feet, and for some reason unknown to her, Rose found this very cool. He loses his cold look as he looks up to Rose and then smiles.

Y/n: "I guess I'll be more help in fights from now on"

Rose:*slight blush, voice crack* "y-yeah, *fixing her voice* ehem! Yeah! I guess so.."

Yn:*taking his sword out as the face eater starts dissappearing* "now come on, we should go before more of his buddies show up"

Rose: "yeah, your right"

They head out of that room and destroy a core that blocked them from a suitcase. In the suit case was an extension for a gun rose didn't have, since shes using y/n's gun. So they leave it, or well, rose leaves it, y/n pockets it, planing to sell it later, and they continued for the exit, destroying a few cores and killing a few face eaters along the way. As they reach the exit, they see something move through the glass of the door.

Rose: "what?"

Y/n:*taking out his sword and getting in front of rose* "get your gun out"

She nods and gets ready to fight as y/n leads the way outside. He cautiously opens the door and looks outside and sees just in time as a huge monster walks into a wall, leaving behind more goo.

Y/n:*sigh of relief and anxiety as he opens the door fully* "whatever it was, it's gone now, that doesn't mean we should let our gaurd down"

They exit the building and start making there way around to the statue as their original way is now blocked my a core. On their way there, on the floor, Rose finds a picture in the next statue wearing a mask. She stops and picks it up, grabbing y/n's attention as he then walks over to her as she flips it over to see some writing on it

Y/n: " "Monocular door, deep in the basement." Huh, guess that's where we're heading after we get this first mask"

Rose: "I guess so"
