3rd pov

After waking up, the two head back to the dining room with the new key and they gained access to the shotgun from the dining room.

Rose: "This should make things easier."

Y/n: "and be much louder"

Rose: "still not use to it?"

Y/n: "im getting use to it, still annoying though"

Rose: "don't worry, this will be over soon, we just need one more mask"

Y/n: "right, let's go"

They then head to the three eyes and open it, after defeating several monsters, finds a golden mask.

Rose: "is that the last mask"

Y/n: "Looks like it, unless it's a trick, but I doubt it. Now usually I'd suggest parkour to get over there, but um, no offense, I'm not to confident in your skills"

Rose: "I made one mistake!"

Y/n: "that could have resulted in having your head bashed in!"

Rose: "Ugh, fine, then what do we do"

Y/n:*points to a core holding up a piano* "we solve the puzzle, make our own path"

Rose: "huh, smart as always I see"

Y/n: "im brain, your the brawns, it's what makes us such a good team!"

Rose: "we do make a pretty good team, don't we"

Y/n: "of course"

Rose then starts destroying the cores as y/n makes sure to keep the face eaters away from her with his katana. Eventually they finish their path

Rose: "Easy-peasy."

Her right arm is starting to hurt as she hasn't realizes how quiet y/n has gotten all of a sudden.

Rose: "What now?... you know, this is usually where you'd ask wha-"

While she was distracted, the monster with a sledgehammer sneaks up on y/n and knockedhim out. She turned around while saying this to see y/n's unconscious body over the large monsters shoulder. However, she is not given time to react as it soon knockes her out as well.

When she woke up, she ends up in a prison cell right next to a still unconscious y/n.

Rose: "Where am I?*kneeling next to y/n* hey, are you ok? Wake up, come on, don't leave me here alone"

A groan is heard from the boy as he slowly wakes up. Rose let's out a sigh of relief before helping him up and hugging him, which he of course returned the hug.

Rose: "Thank god your ok"

Y/n: "same to you... where are we"

Rose:*as they break the hug* "I don't know..."

The Duke speaks to her through the television, which shows his emblem-mask with four eyes and a crown.

Duke: "Rise and shine, little one! What a shame. You were but a hop, a skip, and a jump away from claiming your crystalline prize. I knew the real Rose would be so much more lively. It would be a shame to snuff you out so unceremoniously. Shall we prolong our fun a little longer? Oh, come now, don't pout. I've prepared a nice little diversion for you."

Two dozen cores around the two on walls, ceiling, and floor of their small room.

Duke: "So many sclerotia, nearly all of them are counterfeit. Do you think you can suss out the real ones? Time is running out, little one. Tick tock, tick tock."
