Doris woke up at the hospital, changed to a bed and with security holding high powered rifles in front of her. She had trouble remembering what happened to her after she injected all that Growth Serum into her; must've been an after effect. In any case, her parents arrived to bail her out and were too pleased to have discovered that someone close to them had been misusing their experimental chemicals. Doris though that her parents didn't really have much power over her, but truth was that they've only ever tolerated her violent behavior in the hopes that she would eventually grow out it. But that now that she's taken it too far, they've had no choice but to punish her severely.

Doris:"Baa! What's the worse they can do to me?"

She deeply regretted asking that question as first, they cancelled her gym membership, put her on house arrest and grounded her from lab access and withdrew her from any serum she could even close to touching. Doris felt like her she was living her worst nightmare as she had everything she wanted taken from her like that. Guess she really did underestimated how tough her parents could be at their jobs. What's worse was that they made her walk home after she was bailed out. So now, she was on her way home on foot, grumbling to herself as some people avoid knocking into her, seeing the woman was not in a good mood.

Doris:"Grr...Stupid Super Losers, Stupid Parents. Stupid...grr, where did that new weirdo even come from?! Shows up and ruins everything! I swear, the next time I see him, he's gonna wish he never crossed me!"

She stomped on the ground so hard, it left a crack. But then, she sighed to herself as she continued move on, but not before she spotted something happening at a nearby bridge over the river. It was fuzzy, but she could swear she could see the silhouettes of two people fighting on the bridge, and one guy was losing badly. Stepping forward to get a closer look, their images became clearer to her; while she didn't recognize a man dressed in darker colors, she did recognize the second.

Doris:"Is that...that guy? Damon, was his name?"

What she saw next made her eyes go wide...

A few minutes earlier, Damon was walking home after a day of school. Word of the new superhero in town was spreading fast and it put a smile on his face. And it was first, since Giganta was the first villain he took down without too many problems. Yep, he was definitely sure that nothing could go wrong from here on out.

?:"(Deep, southern accent) Hello, Damon."

And that's when he stopped, hearing a familiar voice he wished to have never heard again. Turning around, he saw a large, man, as tall as he was, looking to be in his early thirties as he had a 5 o'clock shadow on his face. He had the look of an old western cowboy, having on a black cowboy hat on his head, and had some hair that looked to reach just above the back of his neck. He wore a hybrid jacket with a classic cowboy torso with light brown leather and no tassels, and modern, dark brown leather-made sleeves. He had on dark jeans, and a gun holstered at his belt by the right, as well as dark leather boots that had dual spurs on opposite sides of both his ankles. A distinguishing feature of his was that he wore a pair of tri-spiked bracers at his forearms, with a rectangular contraption at the back his wrists, you can take a guess at what the do.

The sight of him made Damon freeze in place. He knew exactly who he was. The man responsible for Damon never having a father.

Damon:"...Shame."

Shame:"In the flesh. And wow, look at you. You've grown nice and tall. And look just like your father."

Damon:"Well, I wouldn't know. Since I never knew you him...but you sure as hell do."

Shame:"Yeah...And I'd be more than willing to give you the answers you want...if you were just willing to come along with me."

Damon:"Knowing my old man was a part of your crew a long time ago is the main reason I don't join you."
