Her fingers lazily pecked at the keyboard, her eyes glazed over with sheer boredom. Why was Ambrosía here? She knew all this shit, so why did she have to research it again? Truth be told, she never had to research it before. She just knew it. Mythology was her thing. She couldn't explain it, but she knew every myth of every culture since she'd been born. She sighed, Yeah... Try explaining that to the teacher she thought.

Next to her, a boy named Acrisios yawned. She glanced over at him, a small smile creeping onto her face. She had inquired as to why his parents named him that, but he'd just told her to read the myth about Medusa. She knew all about King Acrisios and his daughter. But, Cris (as he liked to be called) didn't look much like a king. And, Amber highly doubted Cris would ever lock his daughter in a dungeon or stuff her into a crate and set her afloat.

"Why're you smiling?" he whispered, the corners of his lips slowly tugging upwards into a smile.

"The topic of your Myth Report," Amber stuck out her tongue.

"King Acrisios isn't a well known character in Greek mythology," he chuckled, rolling his eyes.

"I know his story," Amber perked up, sitting up straight and proud.

"You're also not the average girl, Ambrosía," he cupped her cheek.

"King, Korpse, no PDA!" their teacher tapped Cris's hand with her ruler.

"She had an eyelash, Mrs. Petitar, I was just getting it for her," Cris slowly pulled his hand away.

"I'll let you two pass, since this is the first offense" Mrs. Petitar stalked away.

Mrs. Petitar, AKA Bitch from Hell, was Amber's least favorite teacher. She only addressed the students by their last names. Ambrosía Lethia-Nyx Korpse didn't like that, neither did Acrisios King. As Bitch from Hell made her rounds to make sure the students were picking Greek myths to research, Cris slid a note over to Ambrosía.

The fossil needs to get a life!!!!

Giggling, Amber wrote down a reply and slid it back.

Think she's too out-dated for that...

"Korpse, King, announce to the class what myths you're writing about for your report!" Mrs. Petitar scooped up their note.

"I'm doing the one about King Acrisios," Cris smirked.

"I'm not sure which one to do... There's just so many!" Amber bit her lip.

"Well, considering your name is Ambrosía, I'd suggest you write about The Warrior and the Flower," Mrs. Petitar sauntered away.

"What's that one about?" Cris whispered in Amber's ear.
