Zeus roared, throwing thunder bolts around the throne room. Aphrodite narrowly missed getting a buzzcut and Ares got some lightning straight to his muscly face. Hera and the others, however, knew better than stay in the same room as the angry king.
They also knew that they shouldn't summon Her Imperial Majesty to Olympus....
"Drastic times call for drastic measures..." the queen assured herself, watching as the night sky poured into the corridor.
In time, the entire floor that stretched from Washington to New Jersey is blanketed by the thick darkness of the night. At the very center, the night sky began to raise up and form the silhouette of a well endowed woman. As the night sky rained down from the figure, there stood a woman whose dreadful beauty made Aphrodite look like a piece of bread compared to a chocolate cake.
There stood the mighty Titaness, Nyx.
"YOU DARE SUMMON ME?!" she bellowed.
The gods and goddesses stood, watching as her midnight black hair became one with the sky, stars pulsating in the strands like silver and oceanic hearts. Her eyes, the very color of every moonless night, stared down the proud Olympians.
"WHAT IS MY PURPOSE FOR BEING SUMMONED TO THE MOUTAIN OF THE PITIFUL AND PITILESS OLYMPIANS?" asked Night Incarnate.
They all understood why they seemed pitiful- pathetic- to her. The Olympians were all so much younger, so less powerful. It was also within their grasp as to how they were pitiless- cruel- in the eyes of Nyx. They had torn her apart from her love, Apollo. Because of the pain that they had etched so deeply into her bared bosom, she had to send away her daughter once a month.
Selene...
Her daughter with Apollo...
An enteral reminder of a lost love. Worse off? She had made to wed her useless brother, Erebus. The Titan of Dawn. And now the faithless Olympians had the audacity, the nerve, to summon her before them?!
"It's about our daughter, Your Darkness," Athena voiced, drawing the attention of the former bestower of Death upon herself.
"AMBROSIA IS DEAD! THANKS TO YOU AND THAT WRETCHED HADES!"
"Hecate's spell was automatic, Her Imperial Majesty. We didn't have to issue the command, but she and the warrior have been placed back on Earth.... As have Juliette and Keziah," Athena informed the angry Titan.
The pulsating of the stars sped up, as if they would and could rapture. Nyx was showing the Olympians first hand how stars became black holes.
"I'LL KILL THE HARLOT AND HER SISTER! THEY SHALL NOT HAVE MY DAUGHTER A SECOND TIME!"
Nyx's exit took the form of a neutron star collision.
