"Oh my! More new students?" Mrs. Petitar crooned.
The two were obviously twins, though one was a boy and the other a girl. They had the same black hair, black eyes, and olive skin. The girl was shorter, her face more angled and sharp. She wore a sliver pentagram necklace. Her brother, most likely the elder of the two, had a face that reminded the students of a skeleton. His dead eyes did nothing to help the comparison. The cold gold necklace chains around his neck only seemed to make him look like a wealthy corpse.
"We just moved here," the girl smiled.
"Alright... Well, find a seat next to someone. They'll help you out with the current project... First, though, I need your names," Mrs. Petitar scoffed.
"Hektor and Helen Polyphemus," they smiled, though neither looked pleased.
Ambrosía's brain whirled, automatically referencing her vast knowledge of Greek mythology.
Polyphemus: First cyclopes, born from Poseidon and Thoosa. He was gigantic and fierce. Ate demigods, humans, and sheep indiscriminately.
She looked to her new classmates, awkwardly sat between her bitter ex and the man who plagued her dreams. Hektor looked like Thanatos had done him over and Helen seemed rather elfish, magkical almost. Much to Ambrosía's dismay, the twins moved toward her. Helen sat next to Cris and Hektor took the only seat empty beside Andy.
She had the most unnerving feeling that they were cornering her. Hektor wouldn't stop glancing at her, which also worked to erase her chances of serenity. Ambrosía felt her mind wandering, skittering about inside. The myth about the warrior and the flower was suddenly consuming her.
This boy reminded her of Hades, and Hades had loved the flower. Ambrosía felt nausea pooling inside her and fear was pumping in her veins. She knew fully well that the gods and titans were just stories, but that simple fact petrified her to her soul's core. And assumably, if Hektor was Hades... Then Helen would be Hecate.
Hades promised that Andreas and Ambrosia would return... Hecate's spell bound his word and their souls...
Shakily, she turned to meet Hektor's eyes. He did indeed remind her of the god of death and riches... As they stared each other down, Ambrosía felt eyes burning into the back of her head. Terrified, she angled her eyes and saw Helen's intense glare.
Ambrosía abruptly stood, knocking over her keyboard. Andy viewed her with worried eyes as she hid her face in her delicate palms. Her head shook violently, her voice coming out in startled yelps and pained whimpers.
"I don't feel well!" Ambrosía declared.
"BIERSACK! Take her to the nurse!" their teacher barked.
Ambrosía fainted, then. Luckily, Andy caught her. As he carried her unconscious form to the infirmary, he still couldn't understand how fit his arms so perfectly around her.
