Third Person

In lies in the room where two ladies are discussing something, one with a confused look and one with full of trouble. They looked at each other, eyes speaking the way their mouth can't. It seems like they're lost for words with the information the other one connected.

"W-why is there a lifeless body b-beside it Freen?" Rebecca questioned, looking terrified as Freen turned the phone off.

"Bec it's better for you not to know it - - - -

"But it's the reason why I am here! I need to know the truth Freen, please" she pleaded to the hesitant other. Freen looked like she knew about it, more like she's hiding something from the lady.

"This is for your own good" she stood up from the chair and was about to exit the room when she felt Bec's arms around her waist, trying to stop her from doing so.

"Please Freen, I beg you" it was her voice that made Freen lose it. She was hesitant at first but now she realized it would be too selfish of her to keep those information in herself.

She deserves to know she said in her thoughts.

"Listen Bec, we buried this information a long time ago and I'm going to say it because you deserve to know it" She sat back to the chair as fear started creeping in her eyes.

The lady nodded and prepared herself for the details that's coming next.

"We've met before when we were younger. We were in the same neighborhood and we were great friends" Freen started.

Rebecca were amused with the first information she spilled. She wasn't expecting it because neither of the things she mentioned appears in her memory. She's feeling like the latter is manipulating something in her but then she needs the truth so she let her continue the story.

"Your parents were very busy that you were left alone in your house. Your brother was sent abroad since then so you've got no one else with you by that time. Your parents decided to hire a babysitter for you for about a month that they've been away."

"Everything was normal, we can still play outside like normal kids do. We also see each other at school. We were even classmates and our bond was stronger than ever" Freen stopped for a minute, reminiscing the things that had happened between them as they grow up while Rebecca still looks clueless about what Freen was talking about. It seems to her that she's faking the information she's sharing.

"but it was then your babysitter started acting like she's out of her mind. I mean that wasn't the first one, I saw her before, having an argument with someone who looks like her boyfriend and she went back to your house crying from it. After that, she's always spacing out and wasn't attentive to you like what she's supposed to do. Remember this scar in your right arm?" Freen reached for Rebecca's right arm and is trying to find the scar she was saying amidst the bruises that's over it.

"This one?" she pointed something in the former's arm which made the latter nod in response. She's starting to tell that everything is about to make sense even if she can't remember a single thing.

"This is because of the glass that went broken after she threw it right in front of you. A broken piece  landed on this scar before that's why it looks like that" she explained.

"You told me about it that's why I knew and from the time you shared that details, you weren't allowed by your babysitter to go outside"

"We were kids back then Bec, I didn't know what happened. I was thinking that you went mad at me that's why you're not going out to play. I tried to go into your house but that lady said you were sick and was in bed for a while" Freen's reaction started to change as soon as she said those words. It's like she despise the thought of it.

"but you know what? Every night, I can hear your screams through the window of my room. I can hear you when no one else can. I thought that if you were sick, you can't scream like that or that doesn't sounds like you were weak. It sounded different, it was terror"

"W-why?" Rebecca managed to create the image Freen was trying to imply. She broke the story line to hear the reason why she was yelping helplessly that night like she's relating it to what she's feeling right now.

"She was abusing you. That fucker was torturing you and every time that I hear you scream that night, I realize those were the nights she was doing it." she sounded furious.

"She was not letting you eat for days, she was slapping you, punching and kicking or anything that she wants. She took all her anger out on you and - - -

she let out a heavy breathe before continuing because her blood seemed to boil just remembering the things that were done to Rebecca back then.

I can't bear it anymore. I tried to talk about you with my parents and they believed me, you used to go to our house that's why they were also wondering why you were doing it no more. They tried to go to your house and peeped by the window. They were terrified when they saw you lying weakly in the corner with your body full of bruises, some even looked bad it was bleeding."

"They called the police to report your babysitter but that lady held you hostage. I was there, looking through my window while your house is being surrounded by police officers, aiming their guns at the lady who were holding you in her arm with a knife pointed at your neck"

"It was then the situation was getting out of hand and the police shoot her, taking her life away on the spot and that locket?

That locket was a gift you got from her. It was the same as yours and I don't know why the hell was it on the side of the road. Maybe it was just a coincidence or what but that doesn't make sense - - - -

"W-who are you?" as much as she Rebecca tried to take her point, she can't distinguish why Freen know almost every detail of it. She's overwhelmed with the details but for her, it's starting to make sense.

"Becky, you don't remember me?" with that one word, everything went blank in her head as it feels like it was been knocked into a wall countless times. Rebecca was groaning in pain with her hands in her head.

It was then memories started flooding in her head. Little by little she seemed to recall what Freen mentioned earlier. The memories that poured inside her brain were as clear as a crystal.

It was also when she realized who the girl in front of her is.

It is Freen, her fiancé.
