Rebecca
Ugh, life's tough. It's hard studying and having the idea of working for someone who has all their plates full. I don't really have that much of a choice, I need this so I can finish my studies.
I've been working as a personal assistant of Miss Freen Chankimha under the Click Agency. I've started like a month ago and with the days that passed by, nothing much happened other than fulfilling my duties as a PA, nothing else. Her schedule is always full and my job is to keep it organized as well as be with her at most of the time. My studies are all settled in the evening and I have a great time management so I can manage both.
I haven't had a formal conversation with my boss yet. She's like, how do I say this uhh, she's anti- human that whenever she's exposed to heavy personal conversations, her body language starts to display a matter of uninterest --- that's what I've observed.
She rarely talks and whenever she does, it always amazes us. I mean yes, she talks when it comes to work of course, when she talks to producers or directors but nothing beats her casual voice. It's once in a blue moon.
I always wonder how she comes up with that, I don't think she's shy at all because if she is, she wouldn't be in this industry. Maybe she's not a fan of talking or she's just keeping everything professional and is definitely setting up boundaries of a boss and employee. Tsk, it's rude if that's the way it is.
"Miss Armstrong''
If there are an approximate number of eight billion people in the world and all of us disappeared in an instant except for her, she might survive without feeling insane because she can live without talking, too bad that doesn't work with me.
"Hey'' a voice from the front called. It was miss Freen , sitting in the makeup vanity chair and getting her hair done. Her eyes looks tired as she looks at me through the mirror in front of her. "Yes miss?'' I walked closer to her so I can hear what exactly will she say.
"Sched?'' she uttered , now looking at her own reflection. Her voice sounds so soft that it can melt my ears when she talks, good for me she's not that much of a talker. ''After this photo shoot, you have an advertisement to make with Mr. Heng at 10 a.m. and an interview with Mr. Devon at 3 p.m. at 7 p.m. you have an event to attend - - -
''Thanks'' she exclaimed with a straight face, not letting me finish with my words. The hairstylist awkwardly smiled at me and nodded as if telling me 'thank you and do bare with her, she's always like this' type of message. I returned the smile and went to excuse myself.
It doesn't sit right with me sometimes although I don't know anything about her personal life or what she's been in and what she experienced, I think she should adjust the way she talks with her employees. Her name is starting to be known already and it would be bad if people will misunderstood her for not talking much and worse maybe get hated with it. Hope she copes up with that.
"I- I'm trying'' she suddenly exclaimed out of context. Her eyes are again glued to the mirror and are staring right at me.
"Pardon?''
"I- I'm trying to have a nap'' she answered and avoided eye contact in a snap. This is also what I was about to point out. She's blurting things out of nowhere which sometimes catches us off guard. If she's not talking, she's saying things at random - - I think that's just the way she is? idk I haven't even heard some information regarding her family or what or maybe I haven't read about those.

"Stay healthy, stay fresh''
"Cut!"
The advertisement took about an hour and a half to take in another setting. Miss Freen and Mr. Heng are the models appointed to take the name of the company in commercials, the company that Mr. Heng owns. He's quite the guy, a handsome one, tall, rich and kind that anybody could dream off. He's been acting around Miss Freen ever since I started working and all she ever do is
"No, I'm busy'' Miss Freen grabbed her bag from the side and went into thanking the staff while replying Mr. Heng's dinner request. I also wonder how she doesn't give in to the guy who always wanted to hang out with her. Who knows, maybe she's not just into him.
"Let's go'' she gave a side eye glance at me before walking past ahead leaving Mr. Heng behind, looking disappointed as always. ''Uh, have a great day'' I exclaimed at him with an awkward smile. He nodded and went back to the area where the other staff gathered. That is another thing that I also do for her. Rejecting her suitors.
"Hey Bec!'' a voice called my name from a distance before I got to reach our van in the building's garage. It's Non, a photographer in the agency I am in. He's been a great guy whom I talked to with these madness they always describe about --- the stories outside the earth. He's some sort of a fan with the genre so we basically clicked the first time I had a step in the job.
''How's the great guy out there huh? Weren't you supposed to be at our building?'' I teased.
"I just had a talk with the producer and uhh you have schedules at a time like this?''
''Yeah, what about it?'' We always have our own schedules and I know that he already knows that it's not something unusual. ''Nothing, I just want to you know talk about the stuffs?''
Oh, our usual bonding is to debate about celestial beings and the universe. On how vast it is and how possible it is that there are probably other realms or better, an alternative universe.
''Sorry Non, we have a lot of things to do - - -
''Rebecca let's go'' Miss Freen peeped from the van to call my name. This is embarrassing, she might think that I'm just here to gossip. "Sorry Miss, coming''
''You heard the boss right?'' Non nodded and gave a thumbs up sign before I hurried to go inside the van. There are still a lot of next time so we should just talk when it comes.
''You can call me Freen'' she again blurted out suddenly, making me turn my head towards her direction. What? Isn't that informal if I'd call her just by her name? Most of them would like to be called with formalities like miss or madam but their name? There's no way.
''Freen'' she repeated with her face as serious as always. She has this aura that will make you agree to her or follow her in an instant just by saying something. I'm not exaggerating, she's like that type and right now I feel like I need to call her by her name even if it's against my own belief.
''Okay, F-freen''
