"Aw" My head felt like it's been jumped on. It still hurts, maybe from the hangover last night. I passed out and I wonder what happened next to my body after that. I hope Patricia handles it well. The headache is with me so bet there wasn't any pain left in my own body that Pat will be experiencing, probably.
Oh , I almost forgot I was dragged out of the bar by Freen and Non before my eyes went down. I totally lost it last night, I've said words to her the next day I said wrong to the other Freen.
The corners of the room is already bright - - the same moving paintings in the wall and the holographic clock unfolded the time I opened my eyes. I know where I am.
"You already awake?" Freen stood by the entrance of the room, carrying a tray with foods in it.
"Sort of" I slowly sat in the bed with my hands grasping my head. It's aching badly I wanna knock it in the wall.
"You had too much didn't you? I also prepared medicines here. You can take it after you eat" she placed the tray of food in the desk.
"Freen"
"Hmm?" the way she answers me is so soft that I feel guilty for the words I've said to her last time but, I need to ask this question that was still left unanswered.
"Are you the Freen in my world?" I won't stop 'till I got an answer to my question. If I can't ask Freen in my realm, then I would ask the Freen here.
"What's with the silly line? Are you hitting on me?" she went to pick up something inside the drawer.
"No, you got it wrong. What I mean is, are you the... uh... the same Freen I have in my world?" I clarified. She stared at me, confused at what I had just said.
Does that mean she's not?
"What are you talking about Pat? What world are you saying? and you have a Freen? You're living here and if you have a Freen, that would be me" she exclaimed.
So that really means they're not the same? Oh gosh who am I even kidding. I even blamed Freen for knowing things I don't know but it turns out she's not the same as the one here. Ahh this is all my fault, now I don't know what'll I do once I get back to my body. Should I talk to Freen and tell her everything? or I'll just let things the way they are?
No, I need to clean my name. That was all Patricia's doing though so I'm not taking the blame for it.
"Are you okay?" she walked beside me and placed the back of her hand in my forehead, checking if I have the right temperature to be hallucinating on things she doesn't know about.
"I'm fine. By the way, How'd you know I had too much? What do you mean by that?"
"You went out with Nam and Noey last night and you came home wobbling towards this room. You even vomited a lot and you left your bike outside looking like a mess" she looked serious.
Did I went out last night with Nam and Noey? or Patricia went out with them the same way that I did with Non yesterday? Right, probably the theory of quantum mechanics. We can do the same thing at once.
"I'm sorry for being such a pain. I also am sorry for the last time I said something about you meddling with my life. That wasn't meant to be like that, I was just tired and all- - -
"No need to apologize Pat, I understand you. It actually hurt me a bit but I'm okay now. Please be careful with your words next time, is that okay with you?" a smile curved in her lips.
"Yeah, better"
She nodded and went back on stirring something in the drawer. As soon as she found the item, she sat in front of the desk, doing something I can't clearly see.
Now that I know this Freen is not similar with mine, the things I were about to ask vanished in the blink of an eye. I thought I already have my second clue but guess it's another hunch again. I became furious last night that I haven't thought about my actions well. It would be embarrassing if I were to see the Freen in my world again.
"Pat?"
"Yes?"
"Can you live all by yourself?" she looked over her shoulder while asking those question.
"What do you mean?"
"Would you be okay if I'm not around you anymore?" she continued, now turning her gaze back to what she's doing.
What does she mean about that? Is this some kind of a goodbye notice because if so, I don't want it.
"What are you talking about? Am I that dumb or I just don't understand your point? Can you please explain it well?" I started to get panicky as she let out a heavy sigh, a bothered one.
"I think you can, you're now a big girl so I'll leave the rest to you" she let out a heavy sigh, enough for me to spill the words I am carefully taking care off.
"I don't get what you're saying Freen but I'm not the one you think I am. I am not Patricia and whatever it is that you're planning to do, please think about it thoroughly. If you need anything, I'm willing to listen but please, don't leave Patricia like that" I stepped out of the bed to explain things to her. She turned the swivel chair so she can face at my direction.
The things that I just spilled is making me want to take it all back because as much as I'm afraid that she'll be mad or something, I'm more afraid that she didn't even flinched from it. She just looked at me with her usual expression, a complicated one.
"I already know about it" she stated with her still face.
"H-how?"
"The look in your eyes says so" another smile lifted in her face but unlike earlier, it's a smile that doesn't mean happiness- - - but the other way around.
"You k-knew about it all this t-time?"
I didn't know she'd figure it all out. She's just acting normally in my perspective and I didn't had a single hunch that she'll know who I really am. I've been caught all this time without me, noticing.
She turned the chair again and now her back is facing me. "How'd you know... I mean how did you figure it out I- - I was being careful not to get noticed- - -
"You did great on that. It was hard for me at first but you know, I've been living with her all this time so I know every bit of changes there is" she responded with an impressed voice.
"B-but why did you tease me all along? What about those things that you did to me? Are those some kind of an acting?"
"I was trying to test you - -
"Damn right. That test again, I'm too tired of everyone playing around with me" are they all the same? Am I some kind of toy to be played with because that's seems to be the case for them.
I took a step towards her so I can tell if she's saying the right words but I was stopped by the thing she's playing around in her fingers.
It was the same as what I've found the last time. It was the same ones that I even forgot existed.
It was the locket.
