Kurt stayed where he was on his seat on the couch. He thought things through for some time before he thought to call Sebastian.
He picked up on the third ring. "Kurt?"
"I did it." A smile formed on his face. He felt guilty about being happy about the break up. But it was something he had to do. "I broke up with Blaine."
"How'd it go?"
"Surprisingly well. I think I expected tears and/or yelling."
"I bet he waited 'til he was away from you to break down."
"Probably." Kurt frowned.
"Hey, it's alright," Sebastian sensed Kurt's guilt. "You did what had to be done. And it was better than leading him on or cheating on him."
"Yeah, I know. I feel bad. He was so nice about it. But that's just how he is—always the perfect gentleman."
"Which I recall is boring to you. So you're into bad boys, huh?"
"Shut up, Bastian." Kurt chuckled.
"Can I come over?" Sebastian abruptly changed the subject.
"You really want to?"
"Of course, I do. I still love you or whatever."
Kurt giggled. "I still love you, too."
"I can't believe the first time you told me that was at the airport."
"I had to get it out of my system. If my memory serves me right, you said it back for the first time in said airport."
"Well, I couldn't just leave you hanging."
"You better not have only said it because I said it, Sebastian Smythe."
"Ooh, the full name. I'm in trouble now. So can I come over?"
Kurt sighed. "I'll text you my address."
"See you in a bit, babe." Sebastian hung up before Kurt could say anything else.
Kurt shook his head. He couldn't believe that was the man he loved so dearly. He was quick to text Sebastian his address and impatiently waiting for his arrival.
While he waited for Sebastian to arrive, Kurt took the time to tidy up. There wasn't much mess, just a few things out of place that needed to get sorted. No, he wasn't doing it because Sebastian was coming. He just happened to have some time right now. He brought his school bag up to his room and quickly went back downstairs when he heard the bell ring.
Kurt, with a subconscious smile on his face, opened the door. Before Kurt could process anything, he was pulled into a tight hug that he almost immediately reciprocated.
"I missed you so much," Sebastian mumbled into his hair.
"You saw me yesterday."
"Being around you without being about to touch you at all was torture, Kurt." They pulled away just enough, so they could look into each other's eyes. Sebastian whispered, leaned in slightly, "Can I kiss you?"
Kurt, unable to get any words out, nodded and closed the difference. Sebastian responded right away, and they kept kissing like they couldn't get enough of each other, which they sort of couldn't considering they hadn't been with one another in two years.
They reluctantly pulled away, out of breath. With their foreheads pressed together, Kurt and Sebastian had identical ear-to-ear grins.
"Do you want anything to eat or drink?"
"Always the perfect host, huh?"
"I try. I must say, I'm surprised. You've been in my house for at least five minutes and haven't commented once on the decor or set up."
"Babe, how would I have noticed that when all I've ever wanted is right in front of me once again?"
"Flattery will get you nowhere, Bastian."
"Except into bed." Sebastian smirked, thinking back to the first time they had sex together.
"Shut up." Kurt released his grip on the other boy and walked into the kitchen. Pulling one bottle of water out of the fridge, Kurt asked, "What do you want?"
He placed the bottle on the counter and got a room-temperature one from the pantry and handed it to Sebastian. "Stupid European boy, and his warm water," he muttered.
"Hey! You happen to love this stupid European boy."
"That I do." He dropped his fake annoyance and smiled fondly.
"I love you, too," Sebastian said softly.
"Is it weird that we keep saying that to each other when we're not even together?"
"Are you asking me to ask you out?"
"No, I was just-" Sebastian suddenly placed his hands on either side of Kurt, effectively trapping him between Sebastian and the counter he was leaning against. They were so close, and Kurt couldn't think clearly, thus losing his train of thought.
"Will you be mine?" Sebastian asked in a low voice.
"Yes," Kurt breathed out and got closer to kiss Sebastian. The taller boy complied and moved in so his body was completely pressed against Kurt's. In the meantime, Kurt brought his hands up and began to run his fingers through Sebastian's hair, eliciting sighs of contentment from the boy.
Before things went too far, they eased up on the kissing. Sebastian began to kiss along Kurt's jaw as Kurt continued to play with his soft hair. It was so nice being able to do that again, and he knew Sebastian loved it just as much. It was yet another thing Kurt compared Sebastian and Blaine with since the latter's was always full of gel and wouldn't budge.
"Bas..." Kurt mumbled as Sebastian moved down to kiss his neck. He tilted his head for better access. When he felt that Sebastian was on his way to leaving a mark, Kurt gently guided his head down, so he could do so in an easier-to-hide place.
Once he finished, Sebastian picked his head up and simply admired Kurt, who was all his again. He never thought he'd see the day, but he was so happy to see his Kurt again. "I love you."
Kurt smiled in a way he did only in front of Sebastian. "I love you, too."
Sebastian wrapped his arms fully around Kurt's waist and nuzzled his nose in the space between Kurt's neck and collarbone.
Both stood there hugging in pleasant silence, simply enjoying each other's presence and body heat.

FanficThis started out as a one shot of Kurtbastian based on the song Summer Love by One Direction. Then, I wrote a couple more scenes to go with it, so I decided to put it in its own little short story.
