Chapter 2

Later that afternoon, Avalon walked to her parents castle after cheer practice. She walked inside and saw Chip. He wasn't much older than her and Ben. They saw him as a cool uncle/older brother to them. "Hey Chip." Avalon said.

"Hello Avalon." Chip greeted her. "How was school?"

"Same as it always is." Avalon replied. "How's your day going so far?"

"It's going good." Chip said.

"What does your Mom have planned for dinner?" Avalon asked.

"I think a chicken roast." Chip answered.

"Sounds good." Avalon said. "Well if anyone needs me, let them know that I'll be in my room."

"Will do." Chip said.

Avalon walked to her room and started on her homework. After she finished her homework, Avalon picked up a book. She had started reading her favorite book series for the millionth time, which was the Harry Potter series.

She heard a knock at her door. "Come in." Avalon said. She heard the door open and shut.

"Hey Ava." Ben said.

"Hey Ben." Avalon greeted her brother, not bothering to look up from her book. "What's up?"

"I have decided what my first request as king will be." Ben said.

"And what's that?" Avalon asked.

"I want to bring the kids from the Isle and bring them here." Ben said.

Avalon looked up from her book and looked at Ben. "What!" She asked, shocked.

"They deserve a second chance." Ben said.

"Are you sure about this?" Avalon questioned.

"Yes." Ben said. "What do you think?"

"I don't know, Ben." Avalon said. "It could be dangerous with them here."

"It'll be fine." Ben said.

"I'm still not sure about this." Avalon said.

"Please be onboard with this, Avalon." Ben said. "Mom and Dad aren't going to be happy about this, but they might be ok with it if it's both of our idea."

"Fine." Avalon said, sighing.

"Thank you, Avalon." Ben said. "Don't forget, we both have a fitting later today."

"I know." Avalon said.

"I'll see you later." Ben said.

"Bye." Avalon said as Ben walked out of her room. She put her bookmark in her book and picked up her phone to text Paisley.

"Hey, I need to tell you something." Avalon texted.

A minute later, Paisley texted back. "Ok. Meet at our spot." She replied.

Avalon headed outside and got on her motorbike. She strapped on her helmet and headed towards her and Paisley's favorite spot, which was the enchanted lake. When she got to the lake and saw Paisley, sitting on a bench.

"Hey Pay." Avalon said as she walked over to her.

"Hey Ava." Paisley said. "So, what did you need tell me?"

"Guess what Ben decided to do for his first request as king." Avalon said.

"What?" Paisley asked.

"He wants to bring the kids from the Isle and have them come here." Avalon said.

"He does?" Paisley asked. "Why?"

"He wants to give them a second chance at a better life." Avalon said.

"What do you think about that?" Paisley asked.

"I'm not a fan of the idea, but I'm going along with it for my brother." Avalon said.

"That was nice of you." Paisley said.

"Yeah." Avalon said. She looked at her phone. "I have to go. I have a dress fitting for the coronation."

"I can't believe your brother is going to be crowned King soon." Paisley said.

"I know." Avalon said. "Well, I'll see you later." She got up from the bench and went over to her bike.

"See ya, Ava." Paisley said. Avalon drove back to her parents castle.
