Chapter 5

One day, everyone was sitting outside. Ben had gotten his proclamation approved by Fairy Godmother and was making a formal announcement to everyone else. Avalon was sitting at a table with Paisley and Doug. Her dog, Lucy, was at her feet.

"Hey, are you okay after what happened at practice that day?" Paisley asked.

"Yeah, I'm okay." Avalon said. "You're not upset that I quit, are you?"

"Not at all." Paisley said. "I know my sister isn't easy to deal with."

"So, what is this announcement your brother has?" Doug asked.

"You're about to find out." Avalon said as she saw Ben walking up to the stage.

"Can I have everyone's attention, please?" Ben said into the microphone.

Everyone quieted down and looked up at Ben.

"As soon to be king, I have decided on my first official proclamation." He continued. "I have decided bring some of the kids from the Isle of the Lost to live here in Auradon."

Everyone started talking all at once.

"Everyone please calm down." Ben called. "I understand all the uncertainty, but I believe the kids deserve a chance." There was still more outrage from everyone.

"Who else is he bringing besides Maleficent's daughter?" Paisley asked. Avalon had given Paisley a heads up on Mal.

"You know?" Doug asked.

Avalon nodded. "I helped him pick out the kids." She said. Before she could answer Paisley's question, Ben answered it for her.

"The kids that will be coming here are Maleficent's daughter, Mal; Evil Queen's daughter, Evie; Jafar's son, Jay; Cruella De Ville's son, Carlos; and Gaston's daughter, Grace." Ben announced.

Avalon practically choked on her drink when she heard Grace's name.

"Guess you didn't know about Gaston's daughter, eh Avalon." Amir, Aladdin and Jasmine's son, who was sitting at a table next to them, said.

"Oh and how do you feel about Jafar's son coming?" Avalon asked.

"I hear he's like how my Dad before he met my Mom." Ali said. "So, maybe he's not that bad of a guy."

"They will be coming here in a week and I hope you all can make them feel welcomed." Ben finished.

"Come on. Let's get to the museum." Doug said.

"Do you guys mind if I bring Lucy with us?" Avalon asked.

"Of course not." Paisley said as she reached down to pet the dog.

The three headed to The Museum of Cultural History. They had a homework assignment to do on the various magical and powerful objects in the kingdoms. Which most of them are in the museum now.

They soon arrived at the museum. When they walked in, the first thing they saw was Maleficent's spinning wheel.

Avalon noticed Paisley reaching for it. "I wouldn't touch that if I were you, Pay. Unless you want to end up like your mother." She said. "There's bound to still be some magic left in it."

"You're right." Paisley said. "Let's go." They continued.

"Hey Avalon." Doug said, stopping. "Isn't this your Dad's magic mirror?"

"Yeah." Avalon said. "It allows you to see anyone you want."

"Do you think it still works?" Doug asked.

"Like I was telling Paisley, I'm sure these objects still have some magic left in them." Avalon said.

Just then, Lucy started barking. "Shh." Avalon said as she picked the dog up. "Quiet girl and I'll give you a treat when we get home." The dog let out a whine, but stopped barking. Avalon set Lucy next to her.
