Jackson Wang was coming back from his first meeting as the acting boss of the community. The man was indeed not suitable to handle such a huge illegal organization with his irrational and somewhat immature personality. His rank was high due to the skills and work experience he gathered from his time being involved in the syndicate. But after the very first meeting, every other dealers and shareholders from the mob society agreed with each other on the fact that the business, was gonna go down very soon if this man was in charge.
Aside from his incapability regarding making serious decisions, he also did not have much sense of security. Bringing V into the equation was different. Having V alone, as personal assistant, wouldn't require additional bodyguards. But V wasn't here. V wasn't Jackson's PA. Jackson didn't have the common sense to strengthen the security around him. He was being the trump card for the police, giving away all about his locations and data every now and then. The advantage for the Mafia was that Jackson didn't have access to handle the internal affairs and retain the main insider data of the syndicate, at least not yet. Someone like V had greater authority over those than Jackson, as the former loyal assistant of the late boss.
Johnny Suh took Namjoon's place as the new temporary officer assigned to the case. Considering his time in the police, he was still fairly intelligent at cases even though he was much younger. And when a foolish leader like Jackson took over as the head, he was just lucky enough to get his hands on this delicate case. The young officer was fairly confident that he would hit the jackpot immediately because he had prepared all the information needed, including the meeting location and the route the fictitious mafia head would take. However, who can predict how fate will unfold with what twist?
...
The police squad was ready and had blocked the Mafia car's path in every direction. To complete such a massive operation, they had to clear the roads. It is thrilling, isn't it?
However, something unexpected happened as Jackson's car, completely unaware of the circumstances, was about to cross the bridge and enter their rat trap.
An unidentified man, who appeared to be in his mid-twenties based on his appearance, expertly broke through the glass of the window and jumped into the moving car. Jackson wasn't even prepared to take out his gun.
"Don't cross over the bridge!!" He warned.
"Who are you!?!" Pointing a gun at him, the other bodyguard seated in the front seat said.
"Take a right turn and go through the tunnel!!" He ordered, pointing his gun at the acting mafia boss's head
As he saw some cops coming, he fired a shot at their legs.
"Just do what I say! If you wish to avoid losing another boss within the span of a month!" He yelled at the two occupants occupying the car's front seats.
Not strong enough to persuade...
At last, he said in a more composed tone, "I mean no harm," signifying obedience and devotion. The two most crucial characteristics of a subordinate in the world of the Mafia. Even though, it's also the most genuinely uncommon feature.
Even though he was holding the boss at gunpoint, the man seemed trustworthy. With no choice but to obey the unknown man, the driver and bodyguard in the front seat complied. And in the end, they succeeded in returning home without incident.
However, an hour after the mobs fled to a safe distance, the police teams under the command of Officer Johnny Suh became aware of the situation.
"FUCK!!!" Johnny Suh hit his car with a frustrated scream.
...
V was working in his office by the main syndicate treasury vault on an ordinary afternoon at the Mafia residence. He was holding out for Jackson to show up so he could tell him about his recent adventures. Within minutes, word of Jackson's foolishness had spread throughout the syndicate.
*cling* Jackson and a fresh face appeared as V's office door opened.
"You won't believe-"
V cut off Jackson's sentence, "I heard, Jackson," without turning to face him.
Jackson sighed, realizing there was no use in narrating his encounters to V. He needed to get straight to the point.
"I hired a new recruit to be my head bodyguard"
V raised his head to see the novice's face.
A curious young boy, no older than twenty-five, with a round face and doe eyes, was staring at him. His slightly ajar mouth made him think of rabbit teeth.
"And?"
"I want you to train him to be like you" said Jackson. "Perhaps not the main boss, but even as the acting boss, I deserve and require a skilled assistant for myself, since you aren't cooperating."
V grinned as he sat at his desk, fixing his gaze on the new man.
"Our boy here seems trained enough, though," V stated, overpowering with his eyes as he always did.
Jackson said, leaving the new boy in the room by himself with V. "Anyways, I'll leave him to you for now, I've had one hectic day,"
Following a brief period of silence during which they both observed Jackson walk away, V broke forth and turned to face the boy.
"Jungkook Jeon. 25 years old. hometown, Busan. "A Police trainee," V said, stressing the word "Police" based on the information he had learned about the boy prior to his appearance.
"Ex-Police Trainee" Jungkook corrected.
"Ex-Trainee of the Police, Jeon Jungkook," V raised his eyebrows, maintaining his long-lasting grin.
"May I inquire as to your reason for joining?" he said as he got up from his seat.
"I was forced to join Police Academy by my family," said Jungkook, averting eye contact. "Criminal business is the only suitable way to survive in this fucked up society reflecting a fake image of goodness," he said, looking up into V's eyes once more.
"Hmmm...I like your enthusiasm, Jungkook" as he got closer and closer "You know, when in a room together with me, alone, every other novice has never failed to tremble with fear,"
You're the first to not do that, V said, pushing his face closer to the exposed area on Jungkook's neck and inhaling his scent.
With a quick reflex, Jungkook assumed a defensive stance, brandishing a pocket knife and aiming it in a threatening manner at V's throat.
"Your job is to instruct me. Nothing more than that," he boldly uttered while staring directly into V's eyes.
V's deep hazel eyes with long lashes went from being surprised to enraged. He decisively pulled Jungkook over, swiftly rotating him and deftly pinning his hand behind his back to his own body.
"No one" V hissed into Jungkook's ear, "No one dares to order me!!"
V pushed his face into Jungkook's neck biting on it from one spot to another before his mouth reached upto Jungkook's ear, sucking on the pierced earlobe.
"You really are different" he whispered into his ear pausing the heated act, "I like you, wild bunny"
V grinned, biting his neck one last time before releasing the sweating, agitated man from his hold. Without saying anything more, Jungkook turned to leave V's sight and his unsettling stare behind him.
