Few months inside the syndicate and Taehyung was already accustomed with their regulations. Of course he had bulky scary men all around guarding him. Guarding him out of suspicion or protection, was still a mystery to him. Jackson Wang, the acting boss was there for him throught all the way and explained everything to him. Not to mention, Taehyung also had this certain assistant with him 24/7 giving him a hard time to contact Namjoon. Taehyung recalls his name to be Jungkook. Jeon Jungkook. The guy who'd watch him all the time with hawk's eyes.

He sensed him standing outside his shower every now and then. And he'd stay by his side until he fell asleep as well as be the first person Taehyung sees in the morning after waking up.

"Jungkook" Taehyung asked once

"Yes, sir" he bowed

"I don't want you around me every second of my day" He looked straight into his eyes "It makes me uncomfortable"

Jungkook smirked. That uncomfortable smirk. It hid so many secrets behind it. Taehyung's gut spoke about this Jungkook guy's presence being suspicious all the time. How was he related to V...were they....were they perhaps something more than boss and bodyguard?? Had they some sort of scandalous relationship?

"I'm afraid I was ordered by my superiors to be by your side every moment" he answered

"Am I not your superior?" Taehyung glared

"Apologies for not elaborating, sir. I was talking about the boss Jackson Wang"

"I'll speak to Jackson" Taehyung sighed and looked away in discomfort. He still felt Jungkook staring at him.

Taehyung knocked on Jackson's office door and entered only after he heard a dull "Come in"

Jackson seemed busy with paperworks but his face lit up seeing Taehyung or V.

"Ah! V my friend"

"Hello Jackson"

"What brings you here?" Jackson asked putting aside all the papers and files he was working with on the desk. Taehyung noticed the disc lying there. The disc Jackson had explained to him about all in a secret hidden chamber. About that containing all types of information highly important to the syndicate. He also mentioned about the anonymous friend of the late boss Sihyuk, the shareholder to the empire. The hidden heir aside from Jackson. Before death, V was working on deciphering that man's identity. Since V became futile to the syndicate, Jackson must've been continuing the unfinished assignment.

"I'm uncomfortable with Jungkook"

Jackson stared at him with a blank face hearing his confession.

"What is it?"

"No..." Jackson shook his head "It's just that...it's not something V would say"

"I'm V, Jackson" Taehyung scoffed in annoyance, "Do you still doubt it?"

"I know..I know. Of course you are. We did the dna test"

"I felt insulted but I hadn't said anything just because I lost my memory and I have no rights to question the ways of the syndicate in this state" Taehyung took over his strict voice.

"I would never dare,V. I would never dare insult you"

Taehyung calmed down but was not fully convinced.

"How was he related to me?"

"Jungkook?"

"Hmm"

"He was not. You and him barely talked. Probably for..." Jackson tried to remember "once or twice. You never did any missions together"
