"It looks like you're stuck with me for a little while longer..."
I lift my sleepy eyes to watch as Via collapses onto my bed, grabs a pillow, and curls up next to me, her curly hair flying in her face. She clutches the pillow tight to her chest, and looks happy. Content. The complete opposite of what she looked like today during the baby shower. It takes a second for her words to compute in my brain, but as soon as they do, I feel a grin take over my expression.
