"Jennie, you need to help me" I said, holding onto her hands
She looked at me nervously, I knew she wanted to, she was as worried for arthit as I was, all that held her back was the promise she gave him
"What do you want me to do?" She asked, yet so nervously
"Just take me to this place I'm telling you, you can take me much faster and much easily, please, I will ask for nothing more" I pleaded
"Nothing more" she repeated, partially agreeing to me
I nodded vigorously, nothing more Jennie, that would be all I need, more than enough of your help and I will be grateful
"Where?" Jennie asked, letting out a breath
In an hours time, we were already on our way, Jennie could lead me through any sorts of passages and I learned that her strength was convincing you to admit, to anything
She could possibly bring out your drakest desires, your darkest secrets in seconds and you wouldn't know what just happened or why you spit that out
She used it a lot to on our way, to find new routes, to let people have us stay and a lot more and while she did it, she looked more than just scary
"So, what are you?" I asked, following her through the forest
"Me? I'm a hybrid" she replied, ducking some trees as I did the same
"You are not a complete vampire?" I asked surprised
"Nor a complete human" she lowly chuckled, never turning around to look at me
"So, um..what happened?" I asked, worrying if she might be uncomfortable to answer, it could come out as a rather personal question
"You mean how I changed into a hybrid? Arthit did" she replied and the image scared me but it also did make me jealous
He sinked his teeth through her neck? Oh for the love of God, arthit!
"Why didn't you turn completely then?" I asked, pushing my jealousy aside
She shrugged in response, not very sure of the situation either
"Well I can't be sure, it just happened that way, you see, I can stay without oxygen for a few hours, not more than that while arthit doesn't need to breathe at all, I can eat human food as well, it's my choice on what to feed on, blood or food" she explained and it was fascinating
"You are, complicated" I chuckled, catching up with her speed
She laughed with me, glancing at me momentarily, she was beautiful, inside and out, no wonder arthit loved her so much, to consider her a sister, a family
The sun was setting as we slowed down, the view was beautiful, it reminded me of when I was at the hilltop with him, and then I suddenly missed him, his freezing warmth
"Are you sure you will be okay from here?" Jennie asked, eyeing the darkness ahead
"My visions help, all I need you to do is not go to college for a few days, I have told my mum and all my friends that I'm on a trip with you guys" I explained, caressing the back of my neck sheepishly
"I got you" she replied, giggling which made me smile
We stood there in a comfortable silence for a minute or two before she walked forward and pulled me in for a hug, she was stronger than I had expected her to be
"Hybrids are no easy game either" she chuckled, as if guessing my thoughts
I laughed along with her, and I was pretty sure I was never going to be envious of her ever again, she was just too good to be bad
We bid our goodbyes and I walked forward, it felt like a deja vu walking down this lane into the think forest, I had seen this in my vision, I was sure he was here somewhere
Though Jennie maintenance her expressions and remained neutral the very whole time and I couldn't make a guess if I was right or not, but I had the feeling that I was
It was getting darker with every second, I wasn't afraid of getting in trouble, I was actually anticipating it, who knows getting into trouble might bring him back quicker?
I walked and walked with the flash light in my hand, bird chirping around me, it was late evening and the animals were almost ready to hunt, or so it seemed judging by all the noises
I tripper onto a fallen branch and fell on my knees, it didn't hurt, and I was thankful, but as I tried to get up it happened again
"You are?" "Someone you would regret meeting" "doesn't seem like it" "You will love me then"
My head throbbed again and I fell back on my knees, clutching my head in between my hands, trying to make the unbearable pain dissappear
Was I going to meet someone on the way?
My thoughts raced all over, who was I meeting? Why would I regret meeting the someone? And on top of everything, why was I going to love that someone?
I heard the leaves on the ground crashing, someone or something was approaching me, my neck snapped towards the direction of the sound but it was too dark to judge
A minute or so passed, and a lean, tall figure appeared from the dark, shining like a marble, jet black hair, bloody red eyes, and his fangs displayed in the most attractive smile
"Who are you?" My voice came out as a mere mumble
"Someone you might regret meeting" He replied, oh his voice, it was addicting
"Maybe I won't.. " I mumbled, getting up
"Oh! You will very much love me then" He replied, tilting his head to one side, fascinated
I purple you 💜
