When Neteyam discovered that he had the little forest near the Metkayina seaboard all to himself he almost couldn't believe it. He was starting to like his new home, yes, but he loved the forest even more. He liked to just sit under a tree and relax, away from all the other people.
This is exactly what he was doing that day: Neteyam was sitting under a tree, almost falling asleep when he heard some slow steps in front of him. He opened his eyes, but nothing could've prepared him for what was in front of him.
A Na'Vi girl with skin as white as milk, her eyes were light red and her hair was blonde. He had never seen such a beautiful Na'Vi in all his life.
The girl could barely stand upright without wavering, as soon as he noticed this Neteyam stood up immediately, ready to catch her if she fell. She looked devastated.
"Ngaru lu fpom srak?" Neteyam asked but she just gave him a dead look. "Well, you don't look good", she gave him a desperate look before falling in his arms, unconscious. "Wha...What?"
Not even five minutes after his encounter with the girl Neteyam was running with her in his arms "Dad! Mom!" he stopped near the water, gently posing the unconscious body on the sand.
"Neteyam!" his father said running towards him, his wife and kids after him; from the water came Tsireya with Aonung and from the marui Ronal and Tonowari had a confused expression.
"I found her in the grove near here...She doesn't look well" the oldest Sully said.
"The color of her skin...She's a member of the Lo'Nan clan" Neytiri said kneeling next to her.
"The Lo'Nan clan? I've never heard of it" Lo'ak said standing next to his older brother.
"Everyone thought they went extinct since they live in caves and no member had been seen in the last 70 years" Ronal said.
"The member of this clan never leave their cave, only if they get expelled and in that case they don't live more than a week outside because of the differences between the caves and the outside world" Neytiri said "Neteyam, if this girl has been expelled from her clan and has been outside for at least six days...She's going to Eywa soon".
The girl started moving and slowly she opened her eyes, she looked around and sat down "Kaltxì" she said with a confused expression.
"Fyape syaw fko ngar?" Neytiri asked.
"Vìtxwìtx Te Yiltome Vìrtì'ite" she replied with a soft tone.
"What kind of name is Vìtxwìtx?" Aonung said rolling his eyes.
"Aonung!" Tsireya warned him.
"What? I can't even express my opinion anymore?!" the boy defended himself.
Vìtxwìtx turned her head towards the boy "I don't think that someone named Aonung can judge my name" she said looking him dead in the eyes "Just call me Selene, Vìtxwìtx is the name my clan gave me, it's used only in official ceremonies...Moron" she added the last word in English, thing that didn't go unnoticed by Toruk Makto.
"How do you know English?" Jake asked the young girl.
"Only one scientist came in our clan and she taught everyone this language...She became part of our clan with the name of Vìrtì..." Selene was going to add more when Tuk spoke.
"Her hands!" she said, Selene instinctively held her own hands and brought them to her chest "They're like dad's!"
"You said Vìrtì'ite before...Are you halfbreed?" Ronal asked.
"Yes, I am" she answered.
"What was your mother's human name?" Jake asked.
"Samantha Lincoln...Are you one of the Sky People too?" she said, her eyes were sparkling with hope.
"Yes, I am. My name is Jake Sully, I knew your mother, she helped me a lot in learning the way of Na'Vis...But she was diagnosed with final stage cancer" Jake said.
"Her soul was transferred in a Na'Vi body with the help of the Waters of Life in our home, she survived and became a true Na'Vi" the girl said with a soft smile on her face.
"Just like what happened to you, dad" Neteyam said.
"Did you get expelled from your clan?" Tonowari asked, always ready to help someone in need.
"Yes, I've been outside for five days and no, I'm not going to die if I stay out for a week...I've already been outside for more than a week with my mother, thanks to her genes I can stay in the outside world without worries" the girl stood up and looked at Neteyam "Thank you for catching me before i fell on the ground."
"It...It's nothing" the boy whispered looking down.
"I'm sorry if I caused you any problem, I don't know how I got on this island but I'll leave immediately..." Selene slightly bowed her head.
"Do you have a place to go?" Kiri asked with a worried expression.
"I'll go and take revenge on the other members of the clan for what they've done to my parents and to me" she tried to stay strong but she was shaking.
"You don't look well...Father, Mother, how about she stays with us till she's feeling better?" Tsireya asked her parents.
"How do you feel, Selene?" Ronal asked the young girl who sighed in defeat.
"I hate to admit it but I think there's something wrong with my body...I don't remember what happened in the short time before I woke up here, they probably made me eat or drink something to make me unconscious" she grumbled looking at the sand.
"But the Lo'Nan clan is a peaceful clan, they hate violence" Neytiri pointed out.
"Are we talking about the same Lo'Nan clan? They crave for blood, especially foreigners' blood..." Selene explained "They are nothing like the legends that talk about them...About us".
"How old are you, young girl?" Ronal asked.
"I'm almost nineteen" she said.
"You can stay here as long as you like, it isn't a problem for us..." Tonowari said "The children will show you how we live and they'll help you make yourself at home".
"We're not children anymore!" Aonung remarked annoyed.
"I really don't know how to thank you for your kindness" Selene bowed her head a little, trying to show respect.
"It's not necessary, we're used to help outcasts" Tonowari looked at Jake and Neytiri while saying this with a little smirk.
"We'll leave you so you can get to know each other..." Jake said, and with this the adults left towards their marui.

Ahh! It's finally time! I don't know for how long I waited for this!! I really hope you liked this first chapter, it's the first ff I ever published in English so yeah, I'm a little nervous...
