Chapter 3: Questioned

Mike Wheeler had just gotten back to School and right away he saw everyone whispering. Mike went through the halls and met up with his friends.

"Hey guys." Mike said, be noticed Will wasn't there today. He's not surprised though. "I'm pretty sure everyone is whispering about the assembly yesterday."

"It's Not That." Max Said.

"What do you mean?" Mike asked. "What else happened?"

"You didn't hear? A student got murdered yesterday. We don't know which student but I heard they got gutted." Lucas said.

"Holy shit!" Mike said. Then the warning bell rang. Mike had first block with Dustin so they went the same way. They had support study hall first.

When they got in their class everyone was there. Except Gareth Willson.

The boys took a seat next to each other and started doing their homework. Then the late bell rang.

The teacher stood up and went in front of the chalk board.

"so students you may have heard of the student who was killed last night." The teacher said. A girl named Elizibeth, also known as the class clown, raised her hand. "No questions or comments Elizibeth, this is serious." Elizibeth put her hand down. "I was told not to say who was sadly murdered last night," The teacher sighed, "but there are some officers who would like to question you guys. They aren't just questioning students. They questioned most of the teachers before school started. And i don't want you guys to think that i'm saying this because i think one of you guys did it but whoever murdered the poor kid i hope you go to hell." suddenly a police officer came barging in.

"ma'am, we would like to borrow Elizibeth Bard." Sheriff Hopper said. Also Els dad.

Elizibeth stood up and left the classroom with the cops, then the next student left, then the next, after 6 students, it was Mikes turn. He was the last in that class.

"Mike, I believe its your turn." Hopper said as the other student came in. Mike nodded.

They both exited the room and went to the empty testing room next door.

They both sat down in seats and Hopper started to speak.

"You haven't been over since you and Jane broke up, but from what i heard, you guys are still really great friends. Why is that?" Hopper questioned as he sat down.

"What does that have to do with the kid who was murdered?" Mike asked. He sat down too.

"Just wondering, Were you close to Gareth Willson?"

"We talked like maybe three times at most. Was he the kid who was murdered?" Mike answered, honestly.

"What were you doing at 8pm last night?

"I was on the phone with Will."

"What time did you get off the phone?"

"I don't know. Maybe like 9:30 pm? You'll have to ask Will. He's not at school today but-" Hopper cut Mike off.

"I already questioned Will. Glad to see that so far your stories match. What were you and Will talking about?"

"We talked about many things. For example his drawings, movies, we talked about the book I was planning on writing and we talked about a lot more." Mike said.

Hopper thought for a minute. "What's this book about?"

"It's a love story."

"Well thanks for the information you are free to go back to class." Said Hopper as he stood up and pointed to the door.
