Giyuu knows he's not very liked, Shinobu reminds him everyday. "But Sanemi..." he goes to argue "oh come on" she doesn't let him finish "Shinazugawa was only helping you out because you're a dummy who always forgets to take his heat suppressants."

"But we're ..." Giyuu pushes further but again Shinobu interrupts "not even a mated pair! Am I right?" Giyuu just looks at her with a resigned expression "he hasn't even given you a mark yet, I guess he's just not that committed."

Giyuu just nods, more so to himself and walks away. If he doesn't walk away now, she'll see the tears gathering in the corner of his eyes and never let him live it down.

He does his best to ignore Obanai snickering and muttering the words "lonely loser" before receiving a scolding slap over the head from Mitsuri.

He's almost made it all the way to the headquarters gates when Rengoku runs up to him, grabbing his shoulder. "It's okay Tomioka" he reassures "don't listen to them, I'm sure Shinazugawa cares, he's just ..." the man isn't sure himself how to finish that sentence, so he just goes with "it'll all work out in the end."

"Thank you" Giyuu attempts to give him a smile, he knows Rengoku means well and appreciates the effort, he continues his walk back to the water estate.

He wonders if Sanemi is home, he has to pass the wind estate on his way home anyway and he could really use some comfort from his alpha right now. Sanemi's scent of black pepper oil, patchouli and vanilla always helped him when he needed to calm down.

Sanemi always held him so tenderly when he needed it, allowing Giyuu to take in every bit of him, so why did Shinobus words weigh so heavily on his mind? Does Sanemi even care? Was he only helping Giyuu out for now because he felt obligated? Would this only last until he found another, better, prettier omega that he'd like more?

Giyuu is so lost in thought that he doesn't see the fallen branch in front of him until it's too late, he trips over it and falls head first into the ground, smacking himself right on the head. He quickly sits up and brings his hand to his head, blood! He's bleeding from the wound in the middle of his forehead.

Next thing he knows his ears are being invaded with the sound of Uzui's laughter as the tall man stands before him, pointing and laughing "oh my goodness Tomioka! That fall was incredibly flashy! Wait until the others hear about this!" He cries out.

He doesn't help Giyuu at all, instead just walking right by him while laughing and shaking his head. Giyuu just watches him leave as he sits pitifully in the dirt, hot tears rolling down his cheeks.

He stands and walks off the path a bit, finding a tree to sit under, curl up into himself and try to calm down. God he could really do with Sanemi's sweet scent and strong arms around him right now.

That would be good right now and just what he needs, but his intrusive thoughts get the better of him and he thinks maybe it's better if he doesn't ask Sanemi of that from now on. He decides it's probably better to not bother Sanemi at all anymore.

He's slowly beginning to calm down and it's getting a little hot out, he rubs his forehead, covering his hand in blood from the fall and sweat. He was sure to pick a shady spot, so he doesn't know why he's feeling so warm all of a sudden, maybe cuddling up in bed would make him feel better.
