I was waiting for joao to be done with his surgery in the waiting room when I see the door open.
I quickly shot my head towards the door and see joao coming out in a wheelchair.
I quickly shot up from my chair and offer my help to get him to the car.
"are you his girlfriend?" the doctor asks as I nod "okay all you have to do if give him medicine if it hurts and replace his gauze in one to two hours" he says and I grab the handles to the wheelchair.
"thank you goodbye! " I say taking the medicine and walking out the door with joao infront of me.
I open the car door and pick him up 'gosh damn he's heavy' I thought and quickly drop him in the seat.
it seemed like he snapped out of whatever trance he was in when I did that because he looked at me and said "you look pretty"
I got all happy since this was the first thing he has said to me since he was in surgery.
"thank you baby" I say giving him a kiss on his forehead.
After I said that I closed his door and ran over to mine to drive us to the house.
I got in and the ride was mostly quiet except for music in the background.
and I saw joao staring at me the whole ride I didn't really like my side view so I got kinda nervous even though this man has seen every bit of me. (what do you mean by that? 🧐)
we got home and I carried him by his shoulders to help him inside since he was still a little bit wonky from the anesthesia.
I put him on the couch and sat down next to him.
"what do you wanna watch?" I say unsure if he even knows what his favorite movie is.
"you." he said after a while and I was a blushing mess on the couch.
