"Rapunzel are you absolutely positively sure that you want to do this ritual?" I ask.
"Well, yes, don't you want to know more about this ritual? Demanitus himself made it." Rapunzel said.
I let out a breath. It was hard to argue with the princess. She wanted to do this ancient ritual. To be fair, I am also curious, but I still feel like this was a horrible idea and would get us killed. I was drawing the circle or the pentagram with a white paint brush. This might not be the prime place to do this, the princess' room. Eh, it'll be fine.
"Varian what's wrong you seem tense?" Rapunzel asked me.
"Eh... I just have a bad feeling about this. We have no idea what will happen if we complete this ritual." I say.
"Don't worry kiddo. Rapunzel and I know what we're doing." Eugene said.
"I sure hope you're right." I say.
I stand up after I finished. I then sprinkle the powder from the blue rocks that I ground up all around the circle. It started to glow.
"Aga garigo nolla combasora." Rapunzel started reading from the book.
It started to glow red. I watch as it opens.
"It's working!" Eugene yelled.
The wind started to blow really hard. It's like the portal was a vacuum or a big giant fan that sucks everything in its path. I grab a column.
"Well, this is something." I yell.
"No kidding!" Eugene yelled.
"Asaratho amoria sallo camino." Rapunzel read.
Black figures started coming out. They had claws and were like shadows. Some had horns.
"Uhh princess, you can stop now." I say.
She closed the book and the book accidently got sucked into the portal.
"Oh dear." I mutter.
The wind was pulling us. Rapunzel's hair was like a sail. I was pulled further. I grab Rapunzel's hair while screaming.
"Hold on Varian!" She yelled.
"I am!!" I yell.
A shadowy figure grabbed me. I start kicking it. Its claws dig into my boot. I grip Rapunzel's hair.
"Eugene!" Rapunzel yelled.
I looked and saw Eugene being pulled to the portal. The figures were tearing his clothes and dragging him to the portal. Rapunzel untied her hair and grabbed Eugene with it. Unfortunately, when she did that, she pulled her hair away from me.
"Rapunzel!" I yelled.
She saved Eugene but she didn't save me. The last thing I saw was the guards coming in and Rapunzel's face before I was dragged through the portal. The portal then closed.
