"So Varian, how's it going?" He asked.
I was in his place. In a dream, in his world. He can't really enter the world. He can only enter the mind. We we're playing chess. He liked it.
"Tea? Milkshakes? Beer?" He asked.
I take the milkshake. I begin sipping it through the straw.
"It's going fine."
"Remember Laddie, you wouldn't survived down there any further. I saved your booty. We made a deal." He said.
I nod. I do technically owe him my life. He saved me from a terrible day, Extermination Day. Man, that day was awful. It was a nightmare.
"I'm grateful."
"And I'm grateful you'll destroy Corona for me."
"Master, I don't mean to be rude, but you never told me why you want to destroy Corona."
He looked at me. I bit my tongue.
"What fun would it be for me if I told you?" He laughed.
His laugh was so unique it sounded like a robot mixed with a hint of maniacal. I nod. The time was soon nearing.
