(A/N: I've been wanting to use second and first person perspectives combined for a while, I think it'd be interesting, so I'm going to try with this one. Comment if you like it or would rather see a different perspective (third, first, or second individually))

(TW: death, gore, mention of attempted rape, general suffering.)

My sister, I made her strong. She was cold, frozen hearted, respected. She ruled strong. I watched as her powers grew and melded into what they are now.

I watched from afar, through the mirror. Her huntsmen were strong, ruthless, impeccable.

I died. Well, mostly. I was trapped in the mirror for oh so long.

"You freed me, sister," I said, reaching for her. "how dare you back away from me." She got the message. I could tell she was shocked, bemused and slightly terrified. Good, I thought, that's how everyone should be.

"You shall raise me an army. One that shall reclaim my kingdom from snow white."

"This cannot be so," she doubted me. Freya, my own blood. "You died."

"Yes, I did," it was as if we were talking about the weather. She clearly wasn't getting the big picture here, to be fair, she was always slow. "And no," I continued for her sake. "The mirror absorbed my soul, saving it, preserving it, locking it away."

Life went on in the palace, but I need my kingdom back. I couldn't sit idly while snow amassed an army greater than our own.

"You gave my huntsmen new orders."

"So what if I did?" I responded, picking at the invisible dirt under my nails. "I believe you'd agree this is a far superior tactic?"

She was slow to answer again. After a while she discussed how it must be best to rally her forces, let them know strength within their numbers.

"My children," Freya began, addressing the huntsmen. "This is the day for which... For which you were born," I watched, lying in wait, cringing as my sister failed to be the Queen I made her to be. "You will face an army of men who have never lost a war, men who have...Who have forgotten..." She cleared her throat, struggling more, seemingly distracted. "...what it means to be afraid. We will bring fear once again to Snow White's army. And their lands will be mine. And their children..." She paused, whispering, "Their children... For I am queen."

"l. am. queen." She tried to reassure herself, show strength before them all. "This is what I trained you for. This is why I raised you. This is why I made you what you are."

Suddenly an arrow bolted through the air, intending to murder my beloved sister.

"Hello, Eric." I had caught the arrow. I flexed my neck, looking directly at him, exhaling in delight of someone to fight. "I've missed you." And I had, I'd oh so missed having someone to kill.

Sara lashed out then, trying to harm Freya. My anger spiked. How could she. Before I could do anything, you stepped in. Defended us both. I knew you were skilled beyond all in this room, including those sickening love birds. I watched you. You pushed Sara back, overpowering her strength easily, and commanding some of Freya's followers with such leadership no one dared question it.

"Why?" Freya said in response to Sara.

"Why?" I scoffed at my sister. "They're in love." I moved behind her, grasping her shoulders, standing close to her ear. "They reek of it."

Freya's expression hardened, calculating, too slowly for my liking.

"Is this not your kingdom?"

"It is."
