XXVI - Tough Decision

  Jessica had found a very small piece of a device installed in Matt's suit. It had to be what was locating Matt the entire time, or one of the many locators Elektra had put on him. As much as I wanted to destroy it, Jessica's plan sounded a lot better than that. We could attract Elecktra to us if she saw us- it, moving.

"Do you really think this is going to work?" Foggy asked Jessica sounding tired of waiting and being worried about Matt.

"Yeah. Maybe one of us could wear his suit as well?" she answered.

"Are you crazy? We don't wanna die today"

"Yeah, I have to agree with Foggy this time" I said.

"Fine, I'll just carry this shit in my pocket. Wearing the suit sounded a lot better, Murdock would be pissed" Jessica said smirking. "Alright, that's it"

"That's it?" Foggy asked.

"There's nothing else we can do"

"She might have seen it walking by already, right?"

"Are you scared, Mr. Nelson?" she laughed.

  Suddenly someone knocked on the door. I wondered if that could be Elektra. It would have been way too good to be true. Jessica opened the door to a friend. A very tall handsome man with an athletic body shape and really dark skin. He was gorgeous.

"I got your message" he told Jessica.

"Guys, this is Luke. Luke Cage. He knows Murdock as well"

"Nice to meet you" I said shaking his hand staring at him awkwardly. "Oh, I am Ava by the way"

"Matt's girlfriend?" he asked smiling.

"Erm- I mean-"

"I'll take that as a yes. So, where do you think he can be?"

"I am Foggy and we got no idea"

"That doesn't help"

"I found this device on his suit. I can't be completely sure but I believe this is tracking his location. Well, now is tracking ours" Jessica stated.

"I thought you were sure of it" Foggy said.

"Man, you need to get out of here if you're gonna keep stressing me out like that" she answered.

"I'm fine. Just worried. He's still a blind man after all"

"We're gonna find a way to help him"

  As I heard them talking, something got my attention. A red laser light appeared on the wall coming from the window. It took me a while to realize what it was.

"Get down!" I yelled as soon as I realized somebody was trying to shoot us.

  And the gunshots began. Everyone got down as I said right away until Luke stood up in front of the window trying to find whoever was shooting at us.

"Are you crazy!?" I yelled at him.

They had no mercy and began shooting Luke as if there was no tomorrow. I was shocked and panicking. "Luke!" I screamed. He calmly got down and told me he was fine. I couldn't believe my eyes. There was no blood and he did look fine. Apart from his clothes that were covered in holes from the bullets.

"What the hell!?" I asked confused.

"Surprise" Jessica said sarcastically.

"I am bulletproof" he answered me. "I saw them. They were at the building in front of us, but they started leaving. They might come here so maybe we should go?"
