Her death was announced a week ago, but it felt like it happened yesterday. As Skye opened the door of her school, every kid silently stared at her as she walked by, down the hall. She quickly went to her locker and put in the code, struggling, then when it finally clicked she opened her locker and quickly took the things she needed and zoomed to her class. Even in class, there were silent stares and whispers filling the room. All Skye felt was nervousness and shame. Shame. Why would she feel Shame? What did she ever do? Elaina was her best friend, so why would she die? The teacher walked into the classroom with some books and clapped her hands. The room went silent. So did Skye.

As class finally ended, it was time for lunch. Though Skye would go eat, she didn't. She felt as if more whispers and gossip would be about her. The whole school knew about Elaina's death. And if they knew her death, then they would also know her best friend. Of course. As Skye rushed into the library, she dibbed into a corner. It was the corner that she and Elaina would always go in when they wanted some time alone, in peace. That's where Skye was now. She wanted to cry, and let her emotions out, but she kept it all in. All to herself. Then that same girl with straight hazel brown her approached her.

"You had a friend, and- now you don't," she snickered.

Skye ignored her. It wasn't worth fighting back. Behind the girl, three other girls appeared behind her. Then Skye realized what was happening. They were taking advantage of her. They giggled at how Skye wasn't answering.

"Regina, you should tell this girl a lesson, now shouldn't you?" A girl behind Regina said.

Regina stared at her. Then she showed a big sly smile. She was planning something. Something that Skye was not prepared for. What Skye would not even want to answer. She was a new rival Skye had, and it was a big one.

"How's that for a daddy's girl? Look at poor you, don't even know how to respond to someone like me? Someone that is a hundred times better than you."

Skye was quiet. She didn't say anything, nor did she look at them. Her head was narrowed down, and she swore to herself not to look or do anything with them. Her body betrayed her. She looked up, right at them, into Regina's eyes. They all laughed. Right at her.

"You're such a freak! No wonder you were bullied! Now you don't even have a friend, who's gonna save you now? Why don't you go and be a loner?" She sarcastically laughed.

As her other friends laughed with her, one of her friends opened a water bottle and poured it on her head, revealing Skye to become all wet. An unpleased feeling came inside Skye, and tears flooded her eyes and ran down her cheeks.

"What a crybaby!" They laughed, then left with her friends leaving Skye there, all alone and wet.

The librarian rushed towards her, but Skye got up and made sure she didn't come close.

"Are you okay!? Why are you all wet? What did those girls do?"

Skye didn't answer. With her head down, she tried to respond, but instead, she ran away, from the library.
