Skye couldn't stop thinking about what Becky had told her. What did she mean by "she was like Skye"? It didn't make any sense. In class, her senses were blurry, and as much as she tried to get rid of the thought of what Becky had said that day, it simply didn't go away. She scribbled on the paper, gripping her pencil tighter. "Ms Starler?" The teacher coughed. Skye blinked as if she had been brought back to life. She couldn't help but notice kids laughing and giggling, and some whispering to each other. Skye fixed her glare and looked down to her lap. She just wished the day to be over.

As school was over, Skye started walking home, but as she started walking to the front of the school, she stopped dead in her tracks. It was the exact place where Skye was waiting for her dear best friend Elaina. It was the same spot where they both met up before she had died. She sighed and continued walking when the only thing she felt was three cold shadows following her. She decided to speed up, but the dark presence started speeding up with her. Skye started speeding up even more, but she did not dare to turn around and look back. She then made her final decision by starting to run and then slipped into a corner, where she stopped to catch her breath. "Well, well, well, look at the small prey running away from us." A cold voice snarled. Skye slowly turned around to see Regina and her two friends. "What..do you want from me?" Syke asked. "Isn't it obvious ya little freak? You think you are so sneaky from running away and talking back to me hmm?" She glared. Skye tried to find an opening for an escape, but she was cornered. Skye's eyes started to flood with her ocean-blue bell eyes, and she then looked down in defeat. Regina smirked, and then tried to grab her when-

"LET GO OF HER YOU FOOLS!" It was Becky. All the girls were shocked by her presence. "B-becky..! Watcha doing here?" Regina asked. Skye could see her anger in her eyes. Becky shoved Regina aside and snarled at her. "Touch.her.one.more.time," She glared at her in anger, as Regina's "friends" started to back up and run away. "How could you guys leave me? Come back!" Regina pleaded."Ugh, those girls are never any use," She got up brushed her skirt, and glared at Becky. "I don't see what you see of this..freak. I gave you a chance weirdo, but you are just like her. Go be with the freak just like the freak you have always been," She then twirled around and left. Skye saw Becky smile, but she could see her hurt face, with a tear forming in her eye. "Why...why..did you help me I am a nobody," Skye told her. Becky smiled. "I am done trying to be perfect and popular from protecting myself," Skye's eyes widened. "Then what did you mean..that you were just like me? She asked. Becky smiled at her. "I was the little girl. The girl who had no friends. Who tried to impress everyone. Now, I'm here to help you. To be your friend."

Skye sweetly smiled. "Okay, I trust you, Becky, thank you for everything. I'm so glad to have a friend like you."

The two best friends made a new bond, so strong, it would last decades. They swore to make each other's life better, and it did. Every day, they would hang out with each other, and Skye's anxiety slowly washed away. She shouldn't have felt these things because she lost her best friend. At least Elaina's free now. She was free. Now it was Skye's turn.

After a few days, it was announced after a police investigation, that on school grounds, the security cameras caught Elaina running away from school and stopping by a ditch under construction. She opened the lid looked down and jumped. It was suicide.
Skye couldn't believe it. Her best friend killed herself? It didn't make any sense. She did have her reasons. Why would she leave Skye? Becky was still there for her. She told her, that even if she left, there are always reasons. Maybe Elaina had a hard time. She was right. It was time for Skye to make a difference. Spread awareness for her first-ever best friend.
After that, everyone apologized and thanked Becky, even Regina and her friends were sorry. Everything was going great, Skye finally had friends, she had Becky. She became popular.  But she always remembered Elaina. She would never forget about her. She wondered what she would be doing now. She hoped Elaina would be proud of her. She was Skye's first-ever friend.
I hope you are okay Elaina. Thanks to you, I would never have been here. Thanks to Becky I realized confidence. I hope everything is well for you. I know you had your reasons, but our friendship will never die. Thank you. I know you up there watching me, In the clouds.
