Skye waited outside the school, waiting for her best friend Elaina. It had been 15 minutes since Skye was waiting for her, patiently wondering when she would finally appear. After waiting for a while, she saw a blond-haired girl with a ponytail, wearing a maroon-coloured hoodie with dark blue jeans, rush in front of her.

"Sorry I'm late, I had some, uh, trouble," She giggled.

Skye lifted her eyebrow. "You sure? I was waiting for you for 15 minutes now. Did you oversleep again? You should fix your alarm clock! Maybe it's best if we walk to school together, I told you it's a good option."

"No no, it's okay, like I told you." She then sighed. "Yeah you're right I need to get my alarm clock, fixed, I was just- okay fine I overslept." She admitted.

Skye laughs. "I knew that was the case! You almost always oversleep, you better have that clock fixed up and running!" She then looked at her watch. "C'mon, we're gonna be late we better hurry up."

Elaina nods as she trails behind Skye. After class, Skye headed to the cafeteria, the place where Skye and Elaina would always eat together, and go to the library to chill. When she went there, she waited for her. After a while, she just assumed she would be busy and went to the library. She stayed there and decided to read some books. As she was peacefully reading, a girl came up to her. She looked down to where Skye was sitting and smirked. The girl had Gorgeous straight hazel hair, with a white designer type of clothes. Skye was really confused about why anyone would walk up to her, no one laid interest in her besides Elaina, but why in the world would a good-looking girl come to her?

"Aren't you that weirdo who got bullied in 3rd grade? Gosh, everyone hated you, oh yeah, but then a girl saved you or something? I honestly don't care, though it was a shame for you to be bullied like that." She sarcastically laughed.

Skye felt rage in her chest, but she shook it off, she knew this girl was here to bother her. "Uh, yeah, do you need anything?"

The girl let out a loud laugh, as she wiped a tear from her finger. "Oh, you're really funny, a delicate girl like you? No way someone would even be friends with you."

Skye didn't say anything, but her rage didn't let her keep quiet. "And I'm surprised to see a stupid daddy's girl in a library, now how's that?" Skye immediately closed her mouth, covering it with both of her hands. The girl's eyes widened, and she did not look pleased at all. She gave her a dark stare, flipped her hair, and left the library. Skye was confused about why she even bothered to come over to her, but that didn't matter. She was fine on her own. Right?

The bell rang, and that was the bell of freedom, to go home. Skye looked for Elaina, but she was nowhere to be seen. Assuming she left home already, Skye decided to go to her home too. As she walked, she seemed to be worried about why Elaina had disappeared all of a sudden, without telling her. After many thoughts, she decided to go take a quick visit to her house. She turned to the corner of the sidewalk, leading the way to her friend's home. She took a deep breath walked over to the door, and knocked. It was quiet. No answer. As she was going to go knock again, the gate opened, with a lady standing in front of her.

"What do ya want, I don't have all day." She demanded.

"Uh, right, I was looking for Elaina, she's my friend."

Her brow raised. "That brat? No haven't seen her and don't care, now get lost."

It was unfortunate to see she hadn't come home, but why would she call her a brat? "Uh, is it okay if I come in? I haven't got to meet her mom."

"I'm not her mom, I'm her aunt. Her stupid parents abandoned her a long time ago, and no, you can't come in, can't ya see I'm busy? Go, home kid." She complained and then closed the door leaving Skye standing on the porch.

Skye had never even heard about this, and with shock, she went home. As she entered the door of her own house, she skipped past her parents arguing and walked upstairs, this was nothing new. It happened every day. She knew she was gonna lose her parents. She entered her room threw her bag on the bed and jumped on the chair, opening her journal. As she scribbled through her journal, the doorbell rang, Skye knew that her parents wouldn't bother to open the door so she went down and opened it instead. There was a police officer.

"Are you Skye Starler?" He asked.

Skye nodded.

"Look, uh, I'm sorry, your friend was found dead 20 minutes ago. Sorry for your loss." He said as he took off his hat and left, leaving Skye in complete shock.
