Ignore the distorted baby face. I try to use AI for all the chapter media and this was the best outta all options if you ignore the face🤣

Happy Reading!

It's usually a 15 Minute walk from home, lucky for me that my college is near so I save transportation money and god knows I need my savings to spoil my baby Ash.

The walk to college is usually the 'me time' I get in the whole day, the time my mind goes over the last year and the drastic change of my life. To not drift off in that void, I refocus my mind and observe the scenic shadow of the mountains far off up north. Nature is my anchor, looking at the blue sky, the mighty mountains, the lush green trees and just observing it makes me feel so much at peace with myself. The Situation. Everything.

Sipping the last bits of the tea, I shoved my mug in the side pockets of my bag and made my way inside the gigantic blue building of 'excellence'.

The bell rang me out of my misery as I darted towards the ladies room to pump milk and soothe my ache. While pumping I decided to text my boss for any new project for me to work on. I was dying to get myself on a good writing project that pays well because although I had good savings, I still needed to work to achieve ambitious dreams and with no permanent job, I needed this freelance thing to blossom so I am prepared for any unforeseen expenses. I was so happy when I got a full scholarship in this university, one less thing to worry about - I had been lucky for most things in my life, and I'll forever wonder how my life turned out the way it did, forever optimistic.

Sending a quick 'soft reminder' for my very urgent need for a project before the mids, I cleaned up, sterilized and kept everything back in my bag as they were. Freshening up, I realized I had 10 more minutes before the recess is over so I hurried my way to the cafeteria and grabbed a tray.  Taking some nuggets, two sandwiches and an apple I made my way to my table where my friends saved my seat as usual.

'Worked up a bit of an appetite, have we?', my dearest friend Chloe asked sarcastically with a raised eyebrow.

'Well I'm no werewolf, but betcha a hungry mamma can eat just as much as you guys', I replied laighing a bit, wasting no time diving into food. My two friends in the college were werewolves, well almost 90% of the population at this campus was and the rest of the students are just rolling with it. We don't mind, we even participate in some of their traditional events and gatherings. After the whole war experimentations of the generations before, it seemed as if both the species had given into the fact that the space is ours to share not fight on - at least in this part of the world. Humans and Werewolves are now finally content with all the destruction, simply existing.

'Slow down tiger, don't want want the hungry mamma to turn into a choking mama. What took you so long anyways?', Chloe's brother - my other friend, Jake asked clearly amused at my eating speed.

'Dakhshual-', I swallowed a mouthful of food to speak,
'The usual, I was milking myself', I replied snarkly and got back to eating, eyeing Chloe who let out an ugly laugh which made everyone within 10ft radius give her a side glance.

Jake looked like he was about to speak before the bell rang. Looking down at the remains of food and a whole apple, I was fairly full as we stood up and walked towards our next class together.

Calculus after eating is a free ticket to sleep city. I couldn't keep my eyes open no matter how hard I try so after my 10th snap, I just laid my head on my desk, it wasn't like the teacher cared either. Between doing my assignment and Ashley blabling, I couldn't get much sleep last night, and even on good night's sleep, Calculus possess the power to lul me right into my unconscious within 10 minutes, I don't even fight my sleep now, Jake can teach me later.
