Poseidon, Poseidon
God of the roaring seas
Odysseus dared to defy you
So you swept him away with easeYou have a bad rep of anger
You're known for being strict
But I believe there's more to you
So let's avoid conflictYou control the mighty oceans
They reach far and wide
They turn and tumble everywhere
Following your guideYour symbol is a trident
A three pronged mighty spear
It glistens gold as the radiant sun
And is always somewhere nearI don't know of your stories
Of your battles or your triumphs
But I know that you are the father
Of Polyphemus the one-eyed giantYou carry respect like a robe
You wear your power all around
Very few
Can match you
And none can wear your crown
