Apollo

25 4 2

God of many things,
but we know one thing about you
You shoot a bow and arrow
very straight and true.

You're the God of light and prophecy,
music, poetry, and medicine too
So I hope you enjoy this poem,
that I made about you.

You drive the sun across the sky
every single day
In a golden chariot, it rests
for all to see on display

Song and dance and poetry,
are all kind of your thing
Thank you for the gift of song
for now, our voices ring

You have a twin sister, Artemis
Who is also adept with a bow
She rules over the moon instead
while you bring the sun in tow

I don't know much about you,
your stories are untold
but I know you have many siblings,
since your father is quite bold.

This poem is a tribute,
To what you bring to life
You've given us care and expression
And helped us prevent early death of life
