After fighting Ultron Y/N left while he was Hulk in a Quinjet disappearing. Thor meets him on Sakaar when he is Hulk, the two fight with Hulk obviously winning.
Hulk turned back into Y/N after watching a video of Natasha from before he disappeared. He helps Thor cause Ragnarök before they both head back to the compound.
Y/N walks into the building he has never been in side by side with Thor. The two men walk into the living room of the compound, Y/N standing awkwardly behind Thor where no one can see him.
"Thor you're back."
"Yes and I brought a friend."
"Who?"
Thor moves out of the way revealing Y/N who awkwardly waves locking eyes with Nat.
"I'm back."
"Hi Y/N."
"Nat."
Everyone watches the awkward exchange before Y/N excuses himself to go shower. After showering and getting dressed he awkwardly walks down into the living area again, but not without getting lost a few times.
He sits down beside Natasha, avoiding her eyes as she looks at him. He feels guilty for leaving even though she asked him to stay.
She is just happy to see him again. The two never got a chance to define what they are because of him disappearing for the past three years.
They decide to have a little movie night in celebration of Y/N being back. During the movie, Natasha tries to get his attention but he won't look her in the eyes.
She decides to put her hand on his which makes him look up at her for a minute, their eyes meeting. She leans close to his ear.
"My room, we need to talk."
He nods his head as she says goodnight before leaving with him not far behind since he would get lost if he didn't.
They both sit on her bed in silence, neither knowing what to say first. It has been three years without talking to each other so everything is awkward with the added fact of Y/N being naturally awkward.
"I'm sorry," he whispers breaking the silence.
"For what?"
"You asked me to stay but I left anyway. You were ready to run away with me and I never gave you that choice."
"You were scared. A lot had happened in a few days for you then it's been three years."
"Well it was only weeks for me on that planet. I was just Hulk not me and I'm scared now that he has more control."
"You don't wanna hurt anyone so that's a reasonable thing to be afraid of."
He nods his head as she puts her hand on his knee making him look up at her again.
"Y/N when you left it really hurt me. I didn't know why you would leave so easily after the moment we shared at Clint's farm and then again when we kissed. It took me so long to be able to deal with all the emotions."
"I never wanted to hurt you Tasha."
"I know...but you did."
He looks at her as she wipes a tear away looking away from him.
"Nat....please look at me."
She looks at him.
"If you will let me, I want to spend as many days as I can making it up to you no matter how long it takes because I meant what I said, I like you Tasha."
"I will let you do that but it will take a while to trust you again."
"I'm okay with that."
She goes to hug him while he goes to shake her hand which leads to him grabbing her boob. He quickly moves his hand standing up.
"Sorry! Um...I'm gonna go and um....yeah....sorry...."
She giggles as he rushes out of the room blushing.
