Dazai instructed Y/N to roll out a deep red rug over a hole near the table. He had apparently been here earlier in the day to set up a trap of sorts involving this hole. Y/N had a hard time believing this since he waited until there was an excuse for him to not work to start with the more difficult parts of the decoration. He had her retrieve a stereo system that he brought here earlier and put on some pop music. All while he sat and chatted with the man dressed for a different season.

"Who's this party for?" asked the man named Randou.

"For Chuuya and Y/N" Dazai replied.

Y/N was taken aback, she knew he partially intended the party for her. But she couldn't think of a reason why the party would be for Chuuya. She decided to listen to the conversation a bit more intently now, instead of being mad that she was being forced to put up decorations.

"Hmm.... I'm not sure about Y/N," He gestures his head in her direction. "But I do not think Chuuya would like this."

"What's not to like. Good music, good snacks, good looking lady's"

At the last comment Y/N shot him a death glare. Dazai ignored this.

"I don't think most people like pit fall traps." Randou stated nervously.

"Ahhh, but that's the beauty of all this. We'll congratulate him and Y/N for leaving the Sheep, then he'll step back on the rug falling though. Before he knows it he's submerged in a sludgy liquid. Then when he's still in shook, we dump a ton of flour on him."

Y/N and Randou both stared at him. The plan sounded less like a party and more like a merciless torture trap. Randou seemed to voice her thoughts.

"You would make a great torture specialist within the Mafia."

"Mori always said to do the jobs most wouldn't want to." Dazai said happily.

"Is this what he had in mind?" Y/N interjected, one eye brow raised.

Dazai ignored her again. Instead he went on to explain why it would be good for the Sheep to patch things up with Chuuya.

"I see," Randou said, "They're all focused on what's good for them individually, not on what would be best for all of them as a group."

Y/N nodded, that had definitely been her experience on her last outing with the Sheep. But she felt like there had to be more to this "Party". Dazai hardly seemed the type to help people see that they were going about things in the wrong way. She was missing some key portion of information that would tie this all together, but what exactly. Why was Chuuya leaving the Sheep? How did he and Dazai know each other? Dazai and Randou continued talking back and fourth for a while longer.

"By the way Dazai, you mentioned you know who was behind the Arahabaki incidents, or were you lying to torment Chuuya"

The mention of Arahabaki caught Y/N's attention. She hadn't been with the Sheep for a long time, but that was something she had herd of a handful of times. It was also something she knew Chuuya was seeking information on. Dazai had been with Chuuya when he made this announcement to Randou?

"Both." He chuckled. "I said that in front of Chuuya so he would make the bet. But I do know who it is."

"Oh.. and who is it?" his expression curious.

She had finished with decorating and was now entirely unsure of what to do. She didn't want to interrupt their conversation and risk losing the information she was hearing. However she didn't think either of them would believe she was still decorating if she pretended. Something under the table caught her eye. Dazai was pointing his fingers at her and moving them to point at the wall behind him. She silently went to stand with her back against it.
