A Very Platonic Valentine's Bonus Chapter

        Reiko was tending to the Sheep's small garden, it was a patch of dirt where they grew in season plants. When Takara came running around the corner panic stricken. She immediately stopped what she was doing to see what was wrong. Picking her way across the garden carefully as to not trample the precious few plants they had, she made her way over to him.

"Takara, What happened?" She asked full of concern.

"Shirase took me, L/N, and a few others out to steal some liquor." He panted, "But the Mafia showed up and captured everyone."

Reiko was pissed. Shirase and the others knew it was dangerous to do something like that, but to involve the newest member who had so little experience. She pushed her anger to the side for now, instead she focused on Takara and his well being.

"Takara, are you alright? How did you manage to get away?"

"I'm fine," he looked away almost as if ashamed. "L/N attacked the Mafia to distract them and told me to run."

Reiko was silent, this was the second time Y/N had risked her personal safety for Takara. "If she isn't already dead, I'm going to kill that girl. Wait, no. Scratch that, I'm going to kill Shirase for even taking you two out there"

"I'm sorry Rei, I should have stayed with her." he said down cast.

Shaking her head Reiko spoke, "No, don't be sorry, she did that for you. If you had stayed it meant she did it for nothing."

"I was just so sure that Chuuya would save us," he spoke miserably.

She looked at him for a moment, "Chuuya got in a scuffle with the Mafia earlier, they were within Suribachi city asking questions. There was an explosion during the confrontation, and nobody's seen him since."

"Then he's..."

"We have no evidence to support that he died, you mentioned that the Mafia merely captured the others. For now we'll have to assume the same of him."

Takara was on the verge of tears, she knew they would have to report this to the others, but she wanted to help him calm down a bit first. She didn't know exactly what to do though. Normally she'd have him help her with the garden, he enjoyed working with the plants, but most of the work was done. Then she remembered that she had been putting off planting a tree. She had gotten a few seeds for growing peaches a few weeks prior. she hadn't wanted to dedicate space in the garden to a tree that might not grow, so she went out and stole a pot and some potting soil from someone. But she had almost forgotten about that.

"Why don't you help me with the garden, then we can report this to the others."

At this Takara let up a little, "Yeah, that sounds nice."

Reiko dug around the shed the Sheep used to store the tools until she found what she needed. She returned to Takara with the pot, soil, and seeds. Setting them down in front of him, the pair got to work. It didn't take them very long, but Takara seemed to have calmed down a bit. They also finished what needed to be done to the rest of the garden, once finished they stood back and took it in.

"You ready to tell the others?" She asked.

Takara just nodded, she lead him inside. When they got to the main area, she stopped dead in her tracks, Shirase was there talking to the other council members. Reiko was now more livid then ever, she stomped over to them still holding on to Takara. The council turned to face them, Shirase's eyes locked on to Takara immediately, he grinned.

"Takara, I thought for sure you and L/N had been caught. Is she here too?"

"No, she distracted the Mafia so I could get away." He said weakly, "You were supposed to let us know if anyone was coming."
